Item frames are buggy. This suggestion is to improve them.
+THINGS TO REMOVE/ADD+
•Make them break like normal items
•Make them have a breaking animation (cracks)
•Make them have breaking sounds
•Make them not just disappear and drop when broken.
+THINGS TO KEEP+
•Allow us to put item frames + buttons/levers on the same block
example, you put a button on a block, and then you put an item frame on that same block by putting it down behind the button. That or make the button icon when you put it on an item frame bigger, same with levers.
I don't think that I like the first two, the second one I could live with, and as for the fourth, item frames do drop. They just crazily fly off and make life difficult for the player.
I think that they should just drop, because the current way is frustrating. I support that.

Why would making them break like normal blocks and having them have the cracking animations like other blocks be bad? They ARE blocks, at least they are intended to be blocks.
AS for the other thing you said, I know that they drop. I was trying to say they could have animations and stuff like a normal block instead of breaking and dropping and lagging.

They ARE not blocks, they are entities. Just like paintings.

Hey, if you want to make sure I saw what you said, quote me on it.
You like laggy, messy items that spray everywhere when you break them? ? Doesn't look too laggy to me. They even bounce off the walls properly with the second item frame in the video.
Not really... You could just change the texture rapidly to simulate cracks in it. But, they break instantly. Is that an issue? I don't see why.

They are not intended to be blocks, they are intended to be entities. Otherwise they would not have been made as such, would they? Why would it be so good, anyway? What's the advantage? If there's none, why change it?

I didn't say it would be bad, I prefer having them break instantly as opposed to mining them up. What I don't like is the crazy drop stuff. Thats all. Sorry for the miscommunication.
The things you suggested aren't really "glitch fixes", they're just changes to item frames because they have characteristics you don't like. The only glitch in item frames I've seen is that sometimes they disappear when they're at the very edge of your view.

I like messy, laggy stuff. That's why I play Minecraft.
[quote=Badgerz]You have to keep in mind that people are stupid.
[quote=Catelite]Just because you don't understand how something works, doesn't make it broken or pointless. >_<
