I was just browsing the Suggestions sections when it hit me: Why not have complex Snowball fights?
Basically how this would work is that in SMP and SSP, you could craft a Challenger, how you craft it you may ask? Well, all you must do is surround a sword with some Snowballs and Bob's your uncle, you'll have a challenger! The tier of the sword would not matter, just as long as it's a sword.
Snowball Fights
So, after you've crafted your challenger, you can right click while not pointing at a player to change the settings. The options would be Win Conditions, Score Limit, Time Limit, Teams, and Forts.
Win Conditions: There are 2 settings for this, Time, and Point Limit. Point limit is when a player or team gets to the Point Limit, whereas Time has it so the player or team with the most points when the Time Limit runs out wins
Time Limit: sets the time limit, disabled in Point Limit mode.
Point Limit: Sets the Point Limit, disabled in Time mode.
Teams: Toggles Teams on and off, if Teams are on, there will need to be a minimum of 4 people participating, if set to off, there will need to be a minimum of 2 people participating.
Forts: Toggles Forts on and off, disabled if Teams are set to off.
How to score points
You score points by hitting an enemy player with a snowball, you are given an infinite supply of Snowballs when the game starts.
Challenging Players
You challenge a player by holding the Challenger in your hand, and right clicking a player
When you right click a player to challenge them, they can decline, or accept. When a player is challenged it will open a GUI that says "(Player Name) has challenged you to a Snowball Fight!" They would see the settings for the Snowball Fight too.
You can challenge multiple players by doing the same method as challenging one player.
If players accept, they will be put into a generated Snowball Fight Field, with forts if toggled. You get to decide when the match starts, so challenge as much players as you like, then start the match!
In Single Player
This will also be available in single player. This would either be in the form of COM players, or Villagers.
This took me a long time to write, so I hope you can find it in your heart to support this suggestion. If you don't, provide the reason why in a non-harsh manner.
Currently there are no mechanics or items in only SSP or SMP. I think it should stay that way, with everything having at least a little use in both SSP and SMP alike.

I scored 100% on the Minecraft Trivia Quiz. How much do you know about Minecraft?
TOPICS I MAKE, Y U NO STAY ALIVE?
This will be the first SMP exclusive item and mechanic. It will not work in SSP.

Oh, ok.
Maybe it could belong as a /scoredboard addition.
Maybe, I also have a little idea for tournaments, but I haven't really figured it out yet.

Oh, and stop bumping without adding ANY information.
Also, here is an awesome suggestion I had: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1745550-biome-effects/
Well SORRY, and now that I think about it, this DOES seem a little plugin-ish.
(I'm waaaaaaaaiting for the support, and I'm a sick today, so I might be a little grumpy, please excuse me if I do get all Mr. McGrumpy on you.)
