Really? This much hate over three sentences? Something that would inconvenience someone for, oh, about two and a half seconds as they shift-clicked their armour on?
Yes, it adds nothing. Yes, it's slightly annoying. But do we have to roast the OP to the point of there being nothing but a piece of charcoal left?

Why aren't more people support this? It brings so much to the gameplay, the realism of such mechanical changes and details would be truly breathtaking to behold.

Support.
Serious?
Gameplay is more important than realism.

Minecraft isn't like Real Life.... :/
I'm not saying that it's not realistic. But this idea is just redundant, useless, and optional.
Better hand it off to a mod.
Honestly, an idea like this isn't even worth a mod. It's more something you just do on your own for the sake of your own role-playing experience.
I mean, it's just kind of silly. You play as a character who punches down trees with his bare hands, fights off hordes of monsters every night, literally travels to hell and back just to find supplies to make life easier... and you think armor would be too uncomfortable for such a character to sleep in?
For the idea to have any merit, there would need to be a more direct benefit of sleep. As it stands, sleep is simply a fast-forward button, where you get pretty much the same net effect by standing still until sunrise. There's no difference between a good and poor night's sleep.
Augh... He's still making these joke threads? It's getting more and more obvious now, being that when spaceboot replies to someone, it's like this:
Someone, "I don't like the idea and here's why!"
Spaceboot1, "I'm gonna talk about other little things instead of my actual idea and what you just said!"
Yeah, busted. I know you're not gonna reply to my post here because you're just gonna do the same crap as normal. Idea is bad by the way.
Totally agreed with you, Since his ideas are rejected he just defends himself with some argument.

If the armor were to pop off as you sleep, who knows where its going to pop off? It may become inaccessible without destroying walls because of how some people built their house (whether or not you think how they built their house is stupid is irrelevant, it's Minecraft and they can do whatever they want)
I don't think that's a huge worry. The most likely place for the armour to land, is right beside your bed. There's a small chance of the armour glitching through blocks, but that should be a risk you take for trying to sleep in armour.
I don't think it would be stupid to build a house with a bed right against the wall, or something, but it would be nice if there was one more aspect to consider. I look at Minecraft as a series of challenges to make the best house, based on what happens in the game. This would be one more, albeit small, challenge.
it isn't fun
I think it would be.
it doesn't really add any necessary challenge
I think you just pointed out an interesting challenge that I hadn't even thought of. It makes the player have to put a little bit more thought into bedroom design.
it doesn't immerse you in the game experience
I don't know what to say except that I directly disagree. I think immersing you in the game experience is exactly what this small change would do.

Doesn't work that way, I should expect NO type of glitch from ANY type of game by playing the game the way it was meant to be played.
That line of thinking is, frankly, bull. I shouldn't be punished for playing the game.

If you are challenged while sleeping, there's a problem. ON POINT: Yes, you can sleep in armor. While in field, you are expected to do so, as part of your training, you are constantly expected to sleep in armor because the 5 minutes it takes to properly fit your armor to your body is more than enough time for an enemy to seize the castle, king, and your life. Because of this, armor is made with a degree of comfort (interlocking and jointed parts) so saying the only reason you'd ever unequip armor is due to desire to get a better quality of sleep so it would be a willing action. Having armor automatically pop off into your inventory or the floor is silly, and causes errors due to simple forgetfulness.
FINALLY, if this was implemented into Minecraft, there would be a flood of hate suggestions to have it removed again. No.

I'm with you, to a point. If Minecraft didn't have any glitches, I would be perfectly happy. This has nothing to do with my suggestion though. If they fixed item glitching, then armour falling off would land "where it's supposed to" which is what I prefer. If they don't fix item glitching, then armour falling off will land the same place as every other item already in the game, which I can live with. Totally unrelated to this suggestion.

Don't blame the game mechanic for the person who gets forgetful. I get forgetful too, but I don't blame the game.

Let me ask you a question; what merit, value, or positive feature does this add to the game?
1. It can make sleeping very dangerous on servers (other people will camp you to try to steal your armor)
2. It adds more a nuisance than anything else
3. It doesn't seem like it would be very useful
Also, you are being rather rude to anyone that criticizes the idea.

On servers, either everybody sleeps, or no one does. Also, I would love it if finding a safe place to camp was part of the game. But it actually doesn't work that way (and wouldn't, even with this small change). Not now anyways.

Creepers aren't very useful either, and yet they are in the game.
Haha, cool - friendly reminder and all that.

If a healing buff were to be added, however, then it should be applied regardless of whether or not armor is worn.

I am ninja'd far too often.
Helps with immersion. Slows down the pace of the game so you enjoy it more.

So taking off armor for 5 seconds is supposed to make me enjoy it more? I'm afraid you don't know what "immersion" is.
Creepers blow up. They force the player to be a little bit cautious. They are enemies.
