Could it be possible to have security for minecraft to prevent hackers from joining on minecraft servers. It would prevent a lot of headaches for a paying consumers that bought the game. Example: when a hacker logs into the server, the server checks the user to see if it a legit player and if not then the user gets banned. You would need to have a seperate download for the security pack to make connection to the server and the server would be already setup for security enforcement. Just an Idea.
Perhaps providing .. pictures, screenshots or snapshots of this idea? Make a quick layout of what you want it to look like on programs such as GIMP, or Photoshop.
Security stuff like that can be nice at times but think about it. If a guy was once a hacker but stopped hacking for good, he could get banned for no reason.
Plus, would happen if the system banned a guy. The WRONG guy.
Wasn't there that one plugin that had a userlist of people banned on servers, and if someone on the banlist tried logging in, they'd be refused, and if banned they're on the list? Oh well.
No support. I have a feeling if this was added, it'd be like Steam's VAC. We (steam users) all know how buggy that is. And it stops you from playing on servers for a game you bought. People would demand refunds, and even non-hackers/non-cheaters would complain, because it'd have a problem where innocents are VAC banned. Hell, I have 3 friends on my steam account, 2 of which I am sure do not hack. (After all, how do you get a kill streak on a hacker?)
I think this is a great idea, but Mojang hates DRM in the first place and probably lacks the technical ability to program it even if they wanted to. Releasing Minecraft through Steam, though, would be a quick and easy way to kill off all the pirates... >.>

And THAT is why I love Mount and Blade, Warband has servers that CAN have VAC enabled, if they choose too... However, the vast majority do not have it enabled.

Wow, to think I was the only warband fan here. How about that.
Yeah, but this actually sounds like MC bans, which has its own share of problems. Irresponsible admins, mostly.

Elaborate.

LOL it was a suggestion you deliberately posted under the circumstances of being critisized.
