So I have been thinking a lot about how there could be more creative blocks available in creative mode.
Once horses come out, taking shears to a horse will give back horse hair and combining a horse hair and a stick could make a paint brush. Making paint could be created by combining a bucket of water and dye.
I think it would be pretty cool to be able to paint not only wooden planks, but also fences. Finally, the cute little horse with the white picket fence could be made. I think it would be pretty cool to be able to paint the inside of the houses or even the outside. This could make more unique and creative houses in Minecraft.
Meh, I don't think this would benefit the "theme" of Minecraft. I do like the idea, being more creative in a game based on creation is cool but Minecraft does have a theme (I feel like its a world where Steve is the only human survivor and has to explore and constantly has new things to discover). Adding all these colours to things like fences and wood would inevitably make the world way too colourful which takes away from the whole "survivor on a deserted world" theme. Not worth it imo.

Being able to paint everything kinda ruins it for most decoration blocks, especially wool. This would also be a headache to implement, because there would need to be valid combinations for every color being painted on the staggering amount of blocks in the game.

Testificates?
I like the idea of painting, but maybe you could only put them on a limited number of basic blocks.
