1) Underwater temples for survival mode (would make use of the respiration spells even more beneficial)
2) Mob control in creative mode to enhance the adventure mode feature i.e. turning individual mobs on or off
3) Additional weapons (like a spear which has longer reach but less damage and better knock back)
4) the ability to make wands out of sticks and enchantments.
5) doors with a simple number assignable key i.e. key #1 fits in door #1
6) Ability to directly control what a villager sells in creative mode and add up to three items a single villager can sell as well as add whether or not a villager is buying and add up to three buy items. This would facilitate mini-shops for adventure mode.
7) adding weight to items to make useage of the weighted pressure plates a bit more interesting. Say making obsidian weigh 10.0 pounds per block and wood blocks weigh 5 pounds and make the pressure plate so that by default it would need 50.0 pounds to activate making it so that you would either need 5 obsidian or 10 wood in order to compress it.
8) ability to change paintings in creative mode simply by right clicking them with a painting in hand.
9) furniture crafted via a wooden frame and then colored via dyed wool.
10) make display cases so they can be placed on a horizontal surface and display the name of the item inside when moused over.
11) Mouse walk and drag building in creative mode along with extended build/destroy range.
12) Ability to write books in the enchantment language so that a player would have to find a translation stone before being able to read what it says.
13) ability to shoot fireworks horizontaly to blow stuff up.
14) spike trap ( i know its been on the table for a while know ) at least a wooden spike trap, if vietnamese guerrilla fighters can make them I am sure a minecraft resident would be able to. Sorry if that makes any one angry, just trying to prove a point.
15)At least one floating village or fortress accompanied by a wing boot enchantment.
16) ability to change arrow heads to increase damage i.e. stone tipped arrows, iron tipped, flint tipped so on and so forth.
17) a switch feature for dispensers that allows/disallows them being taken from in adventure mode.
18) Some more music.
I know a lot of this is geared towards the adventure mode, reason is because I see a lot of potential for adventure mode.
For the additional weapons I think it would be interesting to see them as follows
Mace: slow speed, heavy attack, has a chance to knock an opponent down.
Sword: Fast speed, medium attack, short knockback has a chance for critical hit.
Spear: Medium speed, Light attack, medium knockback slightly longer range over a sword and can be thrown a distance of 8 blocks.
Bow: Low speed, long range, can use arrows with different tips.
Wands: Capable of being enchanted with a variety of spells and used against enemies, magic drains over time, renew with experience.
Iron ball: Can be placed into a dispenser and then shot to destroy a 3 axis area and 1 block out from point of impact for a total of 6 blocks danger area (slighty smalled than tnt)
I know some people might be concerned that minecradft would turn into an RPG but at the same time some diversity amongst the weapon types would be welcome and it would be really cool to be able to go mining with some friends and stumble across a huge cave troll and be forced to use the different weapons in cohesion in order to bring it down.
