I was thinking for a while, and one came to me. I was thinking of canyons, which would be like a ravine, but it'd be several times wider, have dirt through it, and it'd possibly have trees growing inside of it. this doesn't have to be limited to being set to just having dirt in it, there could also be sand, snow, only stone, or anything else the area has that this is occurring. It would also have a slope to normal ground where you could walk into it without having to find a way down it.
Input on this idea would be nice, letting me know if it is good or bad in some regard.
Better than most peoples early posts, though it could use a little bit more fleshing out. I like what I think you're talking about, which is simply a wide ravine-like depression in the ground, with all of the blocks that would normally be on the surface move down a bit, and wouldn't be so steep that it would require a water elevator, or stairs carved into the side to get down.

Your brain is so powerful, it would take a state of the art computer the size of a factory to come even close to matching the processing power.
it would be cool to live in one, as long as its just a low lying area with steepish slopes. it might look pretty, it would be good to start a mine there, you have a head start to bedrock.

I told you I was Evil, I told you.

I disagree, and wonder if you read the OP. The proposed suggestion is significantly different than the ravines that currently generate.
