So, salt could be mined just like any other mineral, the salt ore. And no smelting required, just mine and u get salt, like how coal is mined. Salt could be used for any meat and have the salted versions of food recover more hunger points.
Same goes for pepper, except pepper is like cocoa pods, grown on trees, farmable, etc. And, to get powdered pepper, you just put a pepper down on a crafting table, and then it should also be used to enhance food items. On top of that, salt and pepper could be used for brewing as well.
How does adding salt to a food item increase your fullness afterwards? It doesn't make sense.
What do you mean by "enhance" food items? Saturation? Fullness? Difficulty to acquire?
If anything, this post is extremely vague, you NEED to go into detail if you ever mention anything with brewing.
I guess it'll increase saturation if not fullness. And salt's about as difficult to get as coal, and peppper as cocoa beans. As for brewing, not really sure, just an idea.
