Sometimes, building massive structures can be a hassle, especially when you want to flatten a landscape for the base.
We can have commands.
//cut: This deletes selection and then put the selection on clipboard.
//copy: This copies to clipboard.
//paste: This pastes from clipboard.
//clearsel: Clears selection.
//pos1: Position 1 for selection.
//pos2: Position 2 for selection.
//replace [id1] [id2]: Replace the block with specified.
//set [id]: Sets the selection to selected ID.
//setmix [id1]:[percent1]:[metadata] [id2]:[percent2]:[metadata]..: Sets selection to random mixture, set percentage for corresponding IDs. (Example: //setmix 4:10 5:40:2 7:1 would set block ID of 4 (cobblestone) with 10% occupying, block ID 5:2 (birch wood planks) occupy 40%, block ID 7 (bedrock) occupy 1%.
There could be more commands, like as seen on post #3.
The commands are only available with cheats on.
For anti-griefing measures, you can ban specific IDs, for example, lava and TNT.
Some of us are on vanilla Minecraft. With the commands, we can build big structures on vanilla server quicker. The commands are only available to OPs as well.
Actually, this is a nice idea. Support!
One issue though, how would it go in multiplayer? Would you have to be op? Would it be a seperate permission list (like ops.txt or banned_players.txt)?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Goodbye...
Looks like I'm back after a few years of hiatus, I guess.
Adding these commands would mean that the guy who made Worldedit would have to update his mod heavily, meaning abut 3 months without commands you left out, such as:
//stack
/forestgen
/b
//smooth
/tree
//fixwater
//fixlava
//fill
/deltree
//hpos(1/2)
And probably much more that I've forgotten
SPC and bukkit update fairly quickly, I don't see a need for this.
Just have Mojang add the WorldEdit commands as an option with cheats on, with some configuration options for multiplayer so that the powers of ops can be limited by the server owner. Which is another way of saying I support, with modifications.

Personally, I've never been able to install a mod, tried hundreds of times, can't do it.
This would help creative mode be able to unleash, you know, creativity.
