Hey every one as we all know in current Minecraft we only have a few selection of potions, and these potions are great but yet the hole brewing system is still a bit small for my taste at the least. I have loved brewing ever since it came out so i am to have a bias towards more potions that may seem slightly unethical to Minecraft. So before i made this thread i put my thoughts together as best as i can.
I am sure all of you are well aware of what potions there currently are, but have you noticed how Mojang left a few blanks on the page. These blanks where the Mundane and thick potions. Currently the two are used to brew potion of weakness. I feel that we should rework these two types of base potions.
The first thing we need to change is how to obtain the base potion. Currently the two base potions mundane and thick require ingredients that are already used in potions under the base potion Awkward Potion. We need to throw this out completely Instead we should give a use to bats for a change. Bats should drop bat wings
to make the base potion mundane. Also we should make Enderpearls the base of thick potions.
What Will Come of these base potions?
Well as we already know that glowstone dust, redstone dust, and gunpowder will not change they will still do the same effects as they have been doing. we would also have to add new mob drops to silver fish and bats (as seen above i said bat wings). These drops will be bat wings and Silver fish eyes and silverfish skin.
List and possible combinations of potions
Mundane + bone = potion of harvest (will act as 1 bone meal in a same splash area when made into a splash potion)
Mundane + silver fish eyes = potion of Nausea (will disorientate the player/mob for 16 seconds)
Mundane + wheat seeds = potion of Satisfaction (will restore 1 and a half food on food bar)
Mundane + zombie flesh = potion of Hunger (will give players the hunger affect)
Mundane + Fish = potion of Sea (will allow you to swim threw water more easily)
Thick + Silver fish skin = potion of resistance (will make the player a slight bit more resistant to swords and arrows)
Thick + ender eye = potion of revealing (will make placed String dispensers and trapped chests stand out by illuminating a light around these objects)
Thick + coco beans = Potion of adrenalin (will allow you to shoot bow at a bit higher pace)
Thick + milk = potion of cure (will give resistance to poison for x amount of time)
Thick + quartz = potion of enchanted (will increase mob xp given at a .5% increase) - may be to op and need to nerf the amount still want feed back big time on this
This is all that i have so far again its i am open to changing a few potion ingredients but for the most part just getting ideas out there

as to the silver fish thing i wanted to encourage Mojang to think of late game things because there didn't seem to be all too much late game items and i wanted the potion system to dip into the system.
also in my idea i wasn't to sure on the 2nd ingredient for potion of enchant but basically its just to get a xp boost but i wanted the 2nd ingredient to be sort of a pain to get that way its not over powered and at the same time didn't want it to be come fully dependent upon Xp grinders also iv been thinking of a way to use the cauldron to get certain ingredients but yeah milk in a bottle would be nice but i meant for potion of cure be more like a anti fire potion where you can be resisted to poison for x amount of time and for potion of revealing was just a small filler idea to go along with some adventure maps.

This is true. I am kind of hoping for some sort of use for the dragon egg. Not necessarily hatching it, but maybe as an addition of another boss or something.

Please use punctuation! I was getting a headache reading this. I now see the point of the potion of cure, but I suggest renaming it. For the potion of enchanting, I think it would just be better to add extra XP to a looting enchantment/separate enchantment.

I think people should respond positively regardless if they spend time on forums or not. Though i do understand and also dislike when i see 2 people have same type of post so i am sorry.
Also i agree there needs to be a use for the egg.
