You've got your gear, your health potions, your golden apples, your overpowered enchanted gear, you look at your house one last time, thinking you will probably never return to your house. You head off to the end for the epic final conclusion...
...
Wow. That was easy. He was so easy and rarely attacked. Do you ever get this feeling? If so, read on for some tweaks. This is what the enderdragon should* do.
*Open for dicussion.
Enderdragon Health: 1,000 (500 Hearts). Physical Damage: 19 (9.5 Hearts). End Blast Damage: 30 (15 Hearts).
Ender Beam Damage: 3 (1.5 hearts).
Special Abilities: Summon, End Blast, Ender Beam, Fire Breath, Blaze Spell, Lightning.
Enderdragon will spawn in the end by beginning with quotes in red text:
"The empire in which I control shall not be destroyed until it engulfs all else... You cannot harm me, adventurer! Surrender to the darkness, or spend an eternity in the nether!"
Phase 1: The enderdragon will fly up and, while invincible to everything, will begin to glow purple and charge its End Blast attack, which sends a purple laser down onto a human character, causing an explosion and if directly hit by the attack, 30 damage. Then enderdragon will enter Phase 2.
"Fool. Your failure to surrender will only seal your doom. I am invincible! I will rule all realms for eternity! Die!"
Phase 2: The enderdragon will hover around the area you are in, impervious to any damage while the crystals (which have an upgraded 300 block range) are still empowering it. After waiting 30 seconds, he will charge up another End Blast and launch it, then wait 30 more seconds. The key is to destroy all crystals to trigger Phase 3.
"Destroying my crystals has only fueled the power within me! Go forth, my spawn. Kill the invader and protect me from harm!"
Phase 3: The enderdragon will use its ability, Summon, to spawn 5 Baby Dragons, which begin attacking you. Whilst the baby dragons are attacking, the enderdragon will begin a 5 minute ritual to revive the crystals (a timer will show). During this time, the enderdragon is immune to arrows. To remove the enderdragon's arrow immunity, you must kill the baby dragons that uphold its arrow shield. If the dragon finishes its ritual before you can damage it, it will go back to Phase 2. If you successfully do damage to the enderdragon, it will enter Phase 4.
"If my spawn cannot kill you, then I will!"
Phase 4: The enderdragon will exhibit behavioral patterns identical to the current enderdragon, flying around and swooping down, doing Physical damage. Hurt enderdragon down to 500 health to trigger Phase 5.
"Taste the power from the End of Time!"
Phase 5: The enderdragon will immediately, then occasionally use the Summon ability to summon Ender Lords. These creatures use Summon to summon 5 Ender Minions around them, then shoot beams of healing that heal 10 Damage to the enderdragon each time. The ender minions in turn heal the Ender Lord, healing 2 Damage each cast. Both of these creatures will become aggressive if attacked. The enderdragon will use its ability, Ender Beam frequently while flying above you. Hurt the enderdragon down to 300 Health to trigger Phase 6.
"No!... Death will not claim dominion over me! You will spend your eternity in the Nether! Come to me, Wither!"
Phase 6: The enderdragon will immediately summon 1 Wither, then shoot Blaze Fireballs at you. The wither is mainly present for annoying you, but can do some serious damage. Once the wither is killed, the enderdragon will resort to occasionally summoning 5 blazes which hunt you down. The enderdragon will sometimes land and use its ability, Fire Breath, to scorch you. When it's done using Fire Breath, it will use Lightning, which will hit you, then fly away and continue shooting Blaze Fireballs at you. Hurt the enderdragon down to 100 Health to trigger Phase 7.
"Your life ends NOW! Your grave is HERE!"
Phase 7: This is the enderdragon's most deadly phase. It will go berserk, its speed will automatically double, mimicking the enderdragon's behavior in Phase 1, except without the immortality. Instead of a 30 second recoil from End Blast, it will be 15 seconds. While the enderdragon is recharging, it will fly around extremely quickly, then pause to launch the End Blast. At this point, you can kill it.
"Even when I... am dead... your world... will still be haunted... by my loyal minions..."
"Urgh..."
"Gaaaaaaaah!"
The enderdragon will now explode in purple beams and disintegrate.
Reward:
20,000 EXP.
Dragon Egg, which can get you your own pet Baby Dragon.
The hallowed blade, Excalibur. (Diamond sword with Sharpness X and Unbreaking X.)
The mob spawn rate will be halved in all realms.
I dislike a great deal of this, although I do think the Ender Dragon is weak. But you made him way too powerful, and I severely dislike the random text it spouts at you for no reason. That's so cliche and boring. But you made it basically invincible unless you set up a 3-4 person raid, making him absolutely no fun on SP.
Plus, I dislike the rewards. The XP is okay, but I never liked the idea of a pet dragon. There is only one egg so whoever gets the egg first gets a very strong companion. They also get the OP blade of OPness, which does 12 - 19.5 damage, so it can two hit any non boss mob and players unless they are severely buffed with armor and enchantments. Did I mention it would have a durability of about 17k attacks? Whoever gets that first would destroy anything in his path. Finally, you halve all mob spawns by killing it. Why would it's death affect normal hostiles? And what if I don't want that? I like fighting mobs and don't want their rates lowered.
So no support. The Ender Dragon would be severely OP and whoever manages to kill it would become the god of that particular server. Not that it matters on SP, as you could probably never ever solo the Ender Dragon.

Ah no thanks. The Ender dragon is a bit to much GODLIKE. I know many people see him as the God of the End but it is a dragon. (Hmm scrap that argument. I second all above me.)

Would you like to know the atomic structure of a piece of bread?
It's extremely OP..you'd have to have Protection, Fire Protection, Blast Protection, Projectile Projection on all pieces of your armour at level 10 to have a chance of beating it. Why not just make it like the Xbox version where it shoots it's enderball thingies and has the acid it shoots out. Then add in some iron bar cages on half to most of the crystals and you have your self a challenge. I do agree that it is bit easy as it is now but it shouldn't be buffed like this. No support.
Text is always gonna be shot down. It's not anywhere else in minecraft and drifts to the RPG side.
Also, I like the idea of the ender dragon being the boss, not the classic "boss gets hurt, hides while his minions attack, comes out again, repeat" And the ender-man are supposed to fit that role, although you're usually looking up so they don't do much.
I do think he needs to be buffed, but 500 hearts doesn't do much anything except extend an already-long fight.
I'd say give him a projectile, but that's just me.
