It could have the same or slightly reduced durability and damage protection as leather armor but with the added bonus of making you invisible to undead. Effect would be dependent on how many pieces of zombie armor you're wearing, working much like the potion of invisibility does but in reverse (more zombie armor = less visible to undead).
It should only apply to zombies. All other hostile mobs should be able to see you and act normally. I'm not sure if its possible to implement the effects of a potion of invisibility on specific mob types to make this happen but that's how I pictured it.
For the sake of balance, make it unable to be enchanted since it carries an innate ability.
Crafting recipe would be the same as any other type of armor.
Appearance could be similar to leather armor but rotten looking, tattered, green in some spots.
The idea is, like in some zombie lore, that by wearing zombie flesh you become harder to detect by the zombie.
I would like a use for rotten flesh other than dog food so I thought, what about using it to craft armor? It's not too healthy to base a suggestion off of just what you want. An armor made out of decomposed flesh? That's a little... "out there". It's not just dog food, it's also decent disposable "human food" as well, if you feeling like saving your better foods for later. Maybe. I don't know.

For the sake of balance, maybe make it unable to be enchanted since it carries an innate ability or at the very least require books to enchant. Even though I'm not a fan of the idea, I give you credit for actually thinking of balance.
My first forum post. Any feedback would be great. It's one the strangest suggestions I've ever seen, and even though I don't support it, I'm usually a lot meaner over suggestions. I recommend splitting your first post into some paragraphs. Since you took the time to consider balance and all that, I'll be the one to give you your very first reputation point.
