Tears are tiny rips in space and time. The player will have to use thier energy to open these.
They usually contain something usefull.
This in minecraft?: Instead of "energy" it could cost like 3 hearts to open a tear.
The tears will usually contain a chest with something of use inside(Food, ore, etc)
Sorry, but I really don't think this will catch on.
Obtaining things in Minecraft is really easy and if anything I think it should be harder - not easier.
you did see the tag "don't take this seriously", right?

I won't MIND being denied, but I won't be like 'whatever', so go ahead and say the truth to me. =D May/may not have a reaction.
Oh look, Dragons! =D
In addition, this seems like it's just a joke, so please don't post a suggestion if you're not seriously suggesting it, you'd just be wasting everyone's time.
And this is just my personal opinion, but since you're saying this is just something taken straight out of another game, I suggest you don't just copy ideas from other games like that. It's not very original.
