There are many things that they could/should add to the command block to make adventure maps, and redstone creations a lot more complex and awesome. But one little feature that should be added is the feature to focus on a specific person. For instances you could do "/say hey @TheDarkerEmerald what is going on" (TheDarkerEmerald is my Minecraft account). This would speak only to that character. This is a small change but does a huge amount of changes. I catch myself making redstone creations where this option would be extremely helpful! For an adventure map, this is useless. If you write your name down, it will only affect you, not anyone else who plays. If you want commands for especific players do:
Huh? You clearly said in the first post that there was no tell command. There is.

-@r
-@p
-Do it singleplayer only.
If one wants a speacial welcome for a freind, or prominant figure?
I can see this mostly being used on servers.
