So I have been thinking, first we had the cow that stood still when we attacked it, then we had the cow that would run in circles when we hit it. But now, mobs need to become more complex and not just randomly walk around the world. With monsters they try to attack you, which makes them sort of better. But mobs need a complete remake. How about now when you hit a cow, it takes its revenge and simply dashes back into the player with a force that a sword with knock back 2 would have. And maybe the mobs could fulfil there needs, like eat tall grass every now and again, or even eat smaller animals! Like a cow tries to eat the chicken so that it won't be hungry. I do understand making a hunger bar for each mob would mean the system would lag out, so instead every 1 hour the mobs should feel the need to eat and will eat the nearest tall grass/ little mob.
It would be really cool if this was added and thanks for reading!

The second question in your poll needs an option that says "I don't want either ideas in the game."
Mobs can be pretty stupid, but giving them better AI isn't a walk in the park (and believe me, I've tried myself). No, let's not have animals eat other baby animals and put a pointless dent on breeding. No, let's leave cows as a passive mob like they should be. Other animals eating grass? I guess that one's not so bad. The other ideas? No.

I agree with both of the comments above me. Cows randomly eating chickens? What is this, a Monty Python animation? Herbivore animals eating other animals just doesn't make sense. And passive mobs were made passive for a reason. We shouldn't have to engage in combat just to kill our farm animals! I am sorry, but no support.
I would agree to better AI for mobs... hostile mobs in fact. This may be a long shot, but here is what I had in mind:
Easy: Mobs derp around like the standard game.
Normal: Mobs find other mobs of the same type, and start travelling with them. This makes it easier to find large herds of animals... and bad guys...
Hard: Hostile mobs actively form battalions and attack the player. They will employ Creepers as a weapon to besiege heavily fortified positions.

first of all, a cow hits like a knockback sword ?
try killing it with your fist, IMPOSSIBLE
what do you mean about eating small animals ?
every animal is kind of medium sized, except the chicken, but how will a chicken get eaten by a cow ? lol
mob sprinting would ruin it, so will mob groups,
like on ur first day you see a mob group of 3 skeletons, two zombies and 2 creepers,
or if a group was formed while you was in your house, it would just simply get to the side and blow up, then it invades!
it would make mobs hard, a lot harder, i agree with the cow eating tall grass.

Do you know a map called zombie arena 3 ?

Cows eating chickens? Horses eating chickens?! We don't have a food chain in this game, except for the examples of ocelots eating chickens and wolves going after sheep. I think that's good enough, we don't need something insane like a cow. Eating. A chicken.
Also with cows attacking you, this is going to ruin farming. Every time you try to slaughter a cow, you're going to be slammed all over the place.
