A few AI/sound adjustments Mojang should make to Minecraft.
Sneakier Skeletons
Skeletons should run away when your cross-hairs touch them within a 5-block radius. This way, they seem more archer-like instead of walking up to you and shooting you in the face. Why not just slap us with the arrows if you're that close?
They should also have a bow animation when they shoot. It wouldn't effect their shooting, but be something more along the lines of visual presentation.
Something has also bugged me how the zombie is the only mob to attack villagers. I think it would be nice if skeletons attack villages as well, and turn villagers into skeletal villagers. (only on hard.)
Less dumber Iron Golems
(and before you comment, yes, I meant to say 'less dumber'.) If you're like me and like to look after villagers and villages, you know how horrible a guard Iron Golems can be. They hit creepers (occasionally), often wander off, etc. etc. I think it would be a lot better if Iron Golems, rather than just flipping mobs, if they also threw them. It would be the equivalent of their average hit, plus the fall damage. They could also passively push mobs to a safe distance from the village. They could also Charge mobs, sending them flying. They would only charge if they were low on health.
Iron Golems tend to wander away from villagers, notably at night. I've had to push or make a new golem right next to the house being attacked so they villager doesn't die. It would be nice if golems would stay within their sight limit of mobs around villagers, or at least raise their spawn rate (I.e 1 golem per 6 villagers).
Golems should be repairable. right clicking a damaged or weak golem with iron ingots heal a heart and a half, and a rose heal half a heart. damaged golems would have two damaged forms: damaged and very damaged (chest would be textured like damaged anvils and golems would walk notably slower). Healing a golem would raise your popularity in the village (healing a golems would result in the green sparks villagers give off after a trade), and repairing a golem enough would unlock a gui where you can trade things like flint and coal for roses.
Golems should also have robotic/rusty grunts. villagers should make 'hmm,' mhm..' mmmrh!' sounds, like low grunts or something.
A more challenging WitherBoss
Just a small suggestion for the Wither; after one quarter of health is depleted, the wither spawns 4-8 wither skeletons and hovers around until the wither skeletons are all defeated. It does not spawn more wither skeletons if it passes over the same quarter mark after being healed. I know the Wither is pretty strong as it is, but I mean really, why does it not already do this! D:
Better Cats / Ocelots
It seems odd to me that minecraft cats DON'T avoid water. In real life, some cats may enjoy water, but most do not. Even big cats like lions aren't too fond of water. Ocelots should avoid water, but once in the water not really minding it, occasionally bobbing their head in the water and have a raw fish in their mouth. Ocelots could also hunt near ponds in jungles and bob their heads with fish in their mouths. cats should screech and jump out of water they fall in. Better Dogs / Wolves
First off, howling. Why don't wolves houl on a full moon? Dogs and wolves should pick up dropped items with their mouths. if they pick up a bone, they could lay down. after sitting for a long time, dogs will lay down, occasionally wagging their tail slightly. When left for long periods of time, dogs begin to whine or howl.
I might add more mobs later. Planning on doing witches and bats later.
