The premise: Add option to time single-player mode by gameplay, keep score of game overall
Factors of score: Deaths, difficulty changes (deducts from score), difficulty, blocks obtained, reaching the End or the Nether, number of mobs killed, etc.
Benefits: Fairly easy to implement, would increase competition in single-player mode, could give an arcade feel to Minecraft, could provide more purpose for the score feature if extended to overall gameplay. Single-player now is sort of just something you do when you're not playing on a server.
Possible time intervals: 5 hours, 10 hours, 1 day, 2 days, 1 week, etc.
As a note, I searched whether this idea had been suggested or not, and found nothing. I'm sorry if I'm echoing an older idea.
I'm afraid I don't understand. You want a stopwatch going when playing single player? Also, It's not just something you do when not playing servers. I spend 90%+ of time on MC on SSP.

Oh. :/ Okay.
No, there would be an option to time your games. Some games measure the number of turns you take to do something (turn-based RPGs) and then there are arcade games that often require you to complete a level within a certain amount of time. I think this option and Minecraft would work really well together, since part of it is a race to see how quickly you get to diamonds/to the End/to the Nether. I think that's a fairly good use of the score system as well. At the end of it, when your time is up (when you'd been playing for x amount of hours or days,) your score would be posted, and you'd be given the option to continue.
What do you do on SSP? Part of why I like playing on servers is that I get to share my creations with other players in-game.
Oh, I see. Get the highest score you can in X amount of time. That would be cool. If everyone started competing and leaderboards were added, that would be pretty cool.

I condensed this a little more. Maybe now it will get more attention.
