There are various programs that can read xbox save files. My suggestion is that one of those programs be integrated (in a sense) into Minecraft PC version, allowing you to play your 360 maps on the PC version, including allowing the use of a 360 controller (officially, with crafting change like 360 instead of like some people do this with USB or an adapter for other games)
There would be a few hurdles though.
1. There can be absolutely no mods unless MS approved, otherwise the save wouldn't be valid to use on the 360 again.
2. The game would have to contain previous code that allows it to go back to the version the xbox is on (or a mixture, since the xbox usually pushes forward features)
3. The game would have to get approval from MS to be allowed to do this so as to not get its users banned from XBL.
4. The PC version couldn't be able to play with XBL players while its running on the PC.
I think the way it would work is you keep your save on a USB, and you can plug the USB into your computer, and minecraft can scan it for saves when you load the game. From that point you can play it as if it was originally PC, but with the restrictions so it can go back on the 360 later.
I, for one, want this because a lot of time I am not near my 360, but am near my computer. I do prefer playing on the 360 though. It would be a lot better if I could play on my computer when near there, and when Im near my xbox can play it on that with my friends.
See, I feel as if it won't be difficult as much as weird.
There would have to be code for older versions based on whatever version the 360 is on. And there would be much approval needed from MS. Once they get the approval, I feel like it could easily-ish be done.
Not the exact same time. My idea was on the menu there would be a button to update the PC version to be compatible with the 360 version. Like it would be a separate add on that could be updated separately, if that makes sense.
Sure, this is a cool idea, but is not possible. Connecting via xbox to one of the huge servers? It would melt. The consoles aren't even in the same version. 4J seems to be adding stuff that Mojang hasn't. It just won't work.
Like I said. Sort of an Xbox version add on to minecraft.
You know how the Wii-U has the wii menu and the Wii-U menu? Like that. You can switch between the 360 and PC version. While on the 360 part of it, it will have 360 exclusive features that arent accessible in the PC version, single player or splitscreen only, no PC only features.

Thoughts? Improvement? Impossible?
