Okay, so as we all know, Minecraft 1.5 just came up with a major, major game mechanics update. But where's the new blocks? I mean, sure, Quartz came out, and to be honest, I'm in love with the textures for it, but what more do we have to look forward to? I'll tell you!
Here's some suggestions that me and a bunch of players from LegendaryBane (IP: mc-lb.com) came up with in regards to how the blocks and general look of Minecraft can be improved. Feel free to add any ideas to this thread!
Coloured Glass!
Yes, let's all get excited over this! Coloured Glass would be an amazing addition to Minecraft due to the fact that the current glass pane texture, while it does do the job that Glass should do, looks none too pleasing. What if the player had the ability to mix Glass and Dyes in a crafting table, or even in a new type of crafting table made specifically for the purpose of creating coloured items?
Iron Trapdoors!
This was an idea that was suggested by one player, and reaffirmed by all. What if there was an iron trapdoor that would server a similar purpose as an Iron Door, with the obvious exception that.. it's a trapdoor!
Coloured Light!
Now this, I understand, would be a QUITE difficult thing to do, but imagine that light from lanterns or glowstone behind coloured glass could be dyed as well? What if you could, for example, make an amazing disco dancefloor using redstone and coloured lanterns!
Sideways Slabs!
Yes, the update we've all been waiting for - Sort of like the Sideways Slabs found commonly in the Technic Pack, except not quite so complicated. They would work similarly to the way that logs currently work in regards to the way they're facing. The wall you point at when you're adding the slab will determine which wall the slabs could stick to. I think the ability to have one and a HALF blocks at any time in any building would be an incredible addition to Minecraft.
More kinds of Slabs!
Another one that has been asked for quite frequently but never so much as acknowledged by any of the Minecraft Team - the ability to create different types of slabs, such as Log Slabs or the like.
Glass Doors..
Would be pretty cool.
Half Doors!
The actual ability to add half doors into the game, with its own texture instead of just a normal door.. but half the texture.
That wasn't my intention. I made my own list with ideas from a server that I play on, ideas from about 20 - 25 people all put together in a list. It wasn't as if I went through all the threads, wrote all the ideas down, and made a list claiming that they were all my idea.

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. Still, you should use the search bar before posting; there are already threads for many of these, including the famous colored glass one.

That's not what he's saying. He's saying don't just pull random ideas, regardless of where they're from or how redundant, put them together, and work yourself around the "No Wishlists" rule by putting them all under the title of "1.6 update". They're still unrelated and still a wishlist, most of which are redundant anyway.

All of which*
While I would like Mojang to make 1.6 a performance and aesthetic update personally, all these aesthetic features, these have all been suggested before.
