Hi, I joined the Minecraft Forums yesterday and this is my first topic, so please be nice. I only have 3 more posts (2 after posting this :c) I can write before the site has to approve them, so I probably won't be able to answer all your questions in time.
Anyway, my suggestion is that they should have thunderstorms and natural disasters like tornadoes, hurricanes, and lightning in minecraft. Below I will discuss the different things that they would do.
Tornadoes: It depends on how big it is for the damage it will cause. There will be an F1, F2, F3, F4 and F5 like in real life. Basically, it goes around sucking up things in it's path. If you made a wooden house, the tornado could come and destroy it. But, some of the blocks that it sucked up would fly back out and scatter everywhere. So you could just come back and collect the blocks that got sucked up from the house.
Hurricanes: They destroy things like trees in villages. It's pretty much just like the tornado.
Floods: Water from the ocean will spread out more and cover most of the land, drowning plants and trees (and maybe even yourself!). This will cause you a disadvantage, because if your crops drown then you won't have food, not to mention animals could get caught in the water as well. Squids will probably be everywhere o.o'
Lightning: It can cause forest fires when it's hits a jungle, and hit mobs and stuff.
So, yes, that's my suggestion. Remember, this is my first topic, I only joined yesterday night, so please only constructive criticism. Thanks c:
There is already lightning implemented in the game, and it can (and does) burn down forests. I don't support this because I've been playing one world for a long time, and if these ideas got to my creations, they'd be wrecked with no hope of rebuilding. These storms are really only good ideas for people who never build anything more complicated than a small wooden house. Sorry.

Nice first post. Nice
I don't want all my creations that I spent hours on just being wrecked by a random tornado in 3 seconds.
But support.
