Enderman pop up out of nowhere and scare me. It almost gives me a heart attack D:! It makes it hard for me to play without cheats when THOSE things are around. I would suggest making a easy mob to kill that wont hurt you. Like a enderkitty. Comment with your opinion! On the title I meant "the" not "to"! Okay?

Endermen are fine. They are passive until provoked and relatively easy to deal with unless out in open uneven terrain. Even then if you only anger one at a time they don't give much trouble. Unless you aren't prepared... Then it's a learning experience!

Just build yourself an endershelter and take the fight to them!
Endershelter: An endershelter consists of 16 blocks of whatever you want and is built like this:
Layer 1 + 2 (Bottom):
#A#
AAA
#A#
Layer 3 (roof):
#O#
OAO
#O#
# ... Any Block will do (doesn't matter if it can fall or not)
A ... Air
O ... Gravity ignoring block (one that can't fall) ... so no Gravel / Sand / etc.
Now just stand in the middle, provoke the enderman and hack him to pieces while he tries to walk up to you. Don't worry he can't pass through 2 block high passages thus making it impossible for him to attack. The hole in the middle of the roof prevents the enderman from aborting combat since you are in a spot he could occupy himself thus making you a valid target to walk up to. Also they sometimes teleport away when their upper body is hit, so hack away at their legs for maximum efficiency.

Definitely, the mob makes the enderman hilarious, I have it and never taking it off XD
