I just thought of an idea. Everyone knows how when you change the difficulty, it affects other worlds too, right? I think that they should make the difficulty settings affect individual worlds. For example, you have a survival world, which is set on normal. You leave, and go to your creative world. It is set on peaceful, instead of normal, because you set it that way.
PROS
You don't have to switch back and forth on creative/survival worlds
Mapmakers can set the difficulty so it isn't peaceful by mistake, making mobs despawn
Thank you! I have several worlds, a couple peaceful, some easy or hard, and I like to keep it like that. It's annoying when I sit out waiting for mobs when I realize I set it to peaceful on a different world! Or finding a bunch of endermen picking up stuff on my peaceful world.
I support this fully. On a few occasions I've had it switched to peaceful working on some builds in my creative world. Then I go back to my survival world and play for 45 minutes before realizing it's still on peaceful.
Brilliant! I always hated the difficulty changing because when I'm in my creative world I switch to peaceful so mobs don't annoy me, but in my survival world I want it on normal or hard.
This would be simple if they moved the difficulty to the level.dat file and not player.dat, unless it's like that already and the game carries it over for whatever reason.
This way I don't break easy+-only adventure maps when I was in peaceful in my last world. Support.

CONS
None that I can think of
Thoughts?
But would you be able to change the difficulty of a world in-game?
Yes, but the only difference would be that the change doesn't affect all of the other worlds, just the one you're in.
