So I have an idea that I think would be great in Minecraft. This idea is that different types of wood could be a different set of notes for the note blocks. For Example Birch wooden planks could be the lowest 24 notes, then Jungle wooden planks could be the next 24, Oak wooden planks could be the 24 after that, then Spruce wooden planks could be the next 24 notes, Birch logs could be the next 24, Jungle logs could be the 24 after that, Oak logs could be the next 24 notes, and Spruce logs could be the highest 24 notes. With that there could be MUCH larger and complex songs created in minecraft, and it could give the different types of wood a use other than decoration.
-EDIT-
I also think that this kind of idea with the different woods could be applied to wool, the lighter the color of wool the lower the pitch of the sound (my idea is that the lighter the color the less dense the wool would be :/ ) So with this it could go through with the 24 notes for each wool block and could go in the order of lightest to darkest.
This should be in the suggestions section, found here: www.minecraftforum.net/forum/1-suggestions/
I can't believe you just put this here!
The correct section is adjacent to this one!
i didnt notice it \(0.0)/ thanks for pointing that out
But what happens if you combine planks..? More possibilities?
That seems like a thing that could go along with my idea, but with my idea there would be a total of 192 different notes. you dont really need any more than that :3

I'm just a Minecraft player that likes to give my opinion. Nothing special to see here.

I prefer the idea of using a GUI to control the range.
