HOW TO MAKE:
You make cheese by milking a cow (with bucket of course.) Then you put the bucket of cheese in the furnace and let it sit there (30 secounds.) When you pull it out, put the bucket of melted cheese into the crafting table where you can then "craft" 4 peices of cheese. Oh and you can get you bucket back of course. HEALTH:
Cheese is a food (duh ) so it whould be ediable. One peice of cheese should get you one hunger back.
WHY SHOULD THIS BE ADDED:
Cheese should be added for more food. Cheese will also give milk more things to make besides cake.
Here's what you need to do to make this into a good suggestion: make cheese interesting in a game mechanical way.
IMO, Mojang started down the wrong path when they added carrots and potatoes just because. Sure, they're used in recipes, but IMO an item or block should try to be fun and unique and interesting on its own. For example, I would have been happier with carrots and potatoes if you literally had to dig them up, dirt block and all, in order to harvest them, rather than have them pop out of the ground the same way as wheat.
So you need a new way to consume, or a new way for it to stack. Cake, for example, is cool because it's the only food that can be placed as a block and eaten directly from block form. Cheese could probably do this too, which would be cool. But, that function is already taken by cake.
Minecraft is a game about digging, so maybe cheese should have to be buried. We already have a cauldron in the game, so why not make use of it. Pour milk into a cauldron, and then place a dirt block on top of it, and wait a while, and then the milk turns to cheese, and you extract it simply by right-clicking.
Actually, potion-brewing is probably the closest thing to cheesemaking already in the game. I could see cheese being made by dropping a milk bucket into the top brewing slot.
Okay, here's a brainstorm: cheeses as a whole entire new class of potion. You know how potions aren't stackable, right? Well, now you can brew any potion into a cheese, which stacks up to 16. Simply drop a bucket of milk into the top brewing slot, with any already-made potion in the bottom. This may have to be balanced, so it might be necessary to restrict cheeses only to the lowest tiers, or reduce the potion effects.
And now that potions can be put into cheeses, the next logical step is cheesecake, which is potions in block form, that you can place on the ground.

I think you are going to love my Survival Let's Play series on YouTube! It's called Spaceboot1's Garden. I make pretty things.
My idea is simple, add cheese to minecraft.

But food. Not potions. And you have to admit this would add variety.
