. The fire charge is a very versitile item. When use by a ghast, it explodes. When used by a blaze, it sets things on fire, when used by you it sets things on fire as well. And when a dispenser uses it, it can do both. The only problem is, when a dispenser uses it, the explosion still can't destroy cobblestone. This makes many possible traps and mechanisms unuseable.
. For example, in one of my bases, I have a long pathway over a lava river with only a single ladder on the end of each side, and a wooden button on both sides. The gap between the two sides is about 20 blocks. When the Primary wooden button is hit,( either by hand while next to it on one side or with an arrow from the other side), a slot opens in the wall and fires an arrow in to other side button. Then both sides slide open, generate infinite cobble until they are only a block apart, and then stop. After a short time given to get across, fire charges shot from the walls to blow up the bridge to reset. The only problem is, oh yes, DISPENSER CHARGES CAN NOT DESTROY COBBLESTONE.
. All I wish is for those who would enjoy cobble being destroyed by dispenser charges only to give your support for this, in the hope that this can be fixed at some point in the future.
My base needs very small space, too small for even a tnt cannon, plus a misfire would destroy all my advanced redstone. Plus, the main point is that cobble does not need dispenser charge resistance.
This isn't really a fix, as this is how it is intended to work. If it was broken and needed fixing you should be using the bug tracker anyways. Also, this isn't really important either, considering you want this for a single trap that could be done tons of other ways, most of which wouldn't involve an ammunition source and would be more effective. Plus, the fact that it doesn't blow up Cobblestone is precisely why I like it. It's a relatively safe explosive to use in traps without breaking a decently built base.

Just going to add one thing, but ghast fireballs don't destroy cobblestone either. And they are NOT the same thing. They just look like the same thing. In real life, would a powerful fireball look a lot different than a weaker one of the same size?
