They can steal all they want from Cubic Chunks, that's the whole point.
As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;
And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!

Bit late but i may host an FTP (File transfer protocol) server because i don't have access to other file transfer services. Otherwise you could use WorldEdit and do //schematic save (schematic name) to back it up as a .schematic in the server schematic directory on my harddrive. But i can't get it to you without the FTP server
Ok, thanks for the info.

Curse PremiumIf you only have to send minichunks that affect rendering, then for most chunk columns you will only send 1-3 mini chunks; I'm estimating 1.5 mini chunks per chunk column to render.
That means the render distance can be turned up -- significantly.
As in: Modeling a real life location, where the "claim to fame" is the mountains, at distance of more than 1 mile.
Default render distance is about 1/12th of a mile, and fog worse than san fransisco.

(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
Not trying to nit-pick, but it really does turn people off to the idea when you include "[Over one thousand supporters! (1700+)]" in your title.

ModeratorHow does the fact that it is incredibly popular and well liked turn you off of the idea? The title is a bit on the long side but the number of supporters is a big deal, as is a proof of concept video. I'm just saying you should support it based on the quality of the idea, not the title.

It doesn't turn me off to the idea, it may make skimmers skip this thread.
People are less likely to click on a thread that has an unappealing title.
I wasn't trying to say that I am withholding my support because of the title
This is not a mod. This is a suggestion for vanilla Minecraft. The mod is just a proof of concept.
I build enormous underground "Dwarven" fortresses, all I could imagine as I scrolled through the pictures and watched that brief video demo was; "Imagine, all the fortresses..."
I've been a skeptic of this sort of thing before, but Jebs, if you're reading this, you NEED to implement this. I would love to have this sort of thing on a server of mine, enormous mountains with cities built right into the side of them, giant villages built over rolling hills, and even "Vahallas" built over gargantuan holes in the earth.
Use a 32 place hexadecimal variable (I should not have to tell you how crazy-powerful of a computer you would need to run programs that use 32 place hexadecimals in all of its' programs) instead of a binary one and you might be able to represent how much you support them.
-example
[0xFFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF] = 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,455
(AKA,
1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111
1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111
1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111
1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111)
[1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111] = 4,294,967,295 (AKA, 0xFFFF-FFFF)
Oh, and ever think of going 64bit?
(The math is all correct, but I am really just teasing and stuff :P)
isn't 0xFFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF = 0 due to the multiplicative property of 0?
On topic. Earlier I had a dream that the first 1.7 snapshot was out. And it ran on the cubic chunks.
