I've never actually set up the server myself, just logged into it when someone else set it up very long ago, and when I asked Robinton about it's set up a while ago he didn't remember anymore. He wasn't even 100% certain he used MLMP, though it's almost certain that he must have. If MLMP (ModLoaderMP) was used then I do have some info below that might help, I hope.
1. You don't install Risugami's ModLoader into the server jar, only the Server version of SDK's ModLoaderMP, and do NOT delete the Meta-Inf folder in the server jar.
2. Also; it dawns on me that if MLMP is used on the server then the Client version of MLMP will need to be installed on the Client. If MLMP IS used then please tell me so that I can update my docs, thanks!
- For the mc1.0 CC Client then Install in this order [ ModLoader + ModLoaderMP-for-Client + Forge_(only-if-used) + CC ].
* I don't recall sending you any files, but ModLoaderMP for mc1.0 is not universal, it has a separate download for the client and server versions, both are linked to above and in the prior message. Please do NOT install the normal ModLoader into the server jar.
** Regarding Forge and the mc1.0 version of CC: I don't recall Robinton ever saying anything about Forge and this version of CC, only that normal ModLoader was required for it.
- However; when poking around in his old mcp project folder for that version of CC I do see a Forge folder in its src folder. The forgehooks class file in it is from 2012-Jan-2, but the same file from the forge folder in the mcp eclipse src folder is from 2012-Feb-12. So it may well be at least compatible with some version of Forge from mc1.0. Please let me know what you can figure out from testing.
** In this spoiler is a copy of the FULL MLMP Install instructions from SDK's thread. (It looks like there is something else to do for the server version beyond what I listed above so please check this out!) + it has install videos!
Client
- Back up your saves and bin folders.
- Windows: delete the META-INF folder in minecraft.jar (in %appdata%\.minecraft\bin)
- Mac: delete the files inside the META-INF folder in minecraft.jar (in %appdata%\.minecraft\bin)
- Install ModLoader
- Install ModLoaderMP
- Install Minecraft Forge if installing 1.1v4 or later
- Copy everything inside the minecraft folder (in the zip file) into minecraft.jar (in %appdata%\.minecraft\bin)
- Copy everything inside the resources folder (in the zip file) into the resources folder (in %appdata%\.minecraft)
- Ignore patch.properties, it's just for TFC's Mod Manager
- Windows: Copy the mod_*.properties files (in the zip file) into the .minecraft folder (%appdata%\.minecraft)
- Mac: Copy the mod_*.properties files (in the zip file) into the bin folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\bin)
Server- Back up your world and jar.
- Download a fresh minecraft_server.jar from minecraft.net
- Install ModLoaderMP Server
- Copy everything inside the minecraft_server folder (in the zip file) into minecraft_server.jar
- Copy the mod_*.properties files (in the zip file) into the same directory as your minecraft_server.jar
- The jar and exe are both standalone servers. Don't mod the jar and then run the exe!

I want to thank you for your work on creating this modpack for the original classic Cubic Chunks Mod. I see it as a critical part of the archival process for its history, as well as making it permanently easily accessible for current and future Minecraft users to Experience and be Inspired by. It will be the Bridge to the Future for Cubic Chunks.
* I hope that once Robinton Officially says yes to this and you've completed all the work and testing that Calacbolg will be willing to make a Download section in the OP for this, and the direct links I've posted too (in a sub-sub-spoiler to reduce clutter).
[EDIT] I have Forge 1.2.0 and 1.2.4 for mc1.0 if you need them. I don't think I was able to find any other versions for mc1.0.
[EDITx2] Actually, please make a version of the modpack available that does not include (or allows to be disabled) Forge for the b1.7.3 and v1.0 versions since Forge is not required for them and 99.9% of mods back then were for ML and were not Forge compatible yet. This will allow people more compatibility for those versions. Please do include ML for all versions though, even though the b1.7.3 versions might not require it. That will make further modding even easier for the users.
* Unfortunately, as far as I recall, Forge actually is required for the b1.8.1 version, if so then it will need to be included for that one.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure you can include mods but have them disabled by default, letting players enable them manually (although I'm not 100% sure since I don't really have anything to do with FTB). Of course, there might be some problems with this, especially since things installed pretty differently back in beta/MC 1.0, and because the modpack might be made available through sources other than the FTB launcher.
I believe in the Invisible Pink Unicorn, bless her Invisible Pinkness.
But most important thing: I need a 1.0.1 server jar file. I cannot find it anywhere. assets.minecraft.net only goes as far back as Release 1.2, most jar file references I found do not contain 1.0.1 for some reason (see above post)
Well, the way disabled mods work in FTB is that it the launcher simply adds .disabled to the end of the file name. Forge only looks for jars and zips, so it doesn't load the mod, period, no matter what version of forge you are using. Without the FTB launcher, you can enable mods manually by removing the .disabled from the end of the file name and vice versa.
Forge is awesome, now. Back then it was just starting and bears almost no relationship to what it is now. So far as I know adding it to those versions will only hurt compatibility for most people since it changed base classes, not help it.
* All I'm asking is that you make a version of the b173 and v1.0 versions with ModLoader only, you can still make ones with Forge too, in fact I encourage it so that people will have as many options as possible!
In the spirit of cooperation here are the two versions of Forge I have found for mc1.0, I can't guarantee that either is a compatible one, only that they are what I have right now. It took me a very long time to find these.
Forge 1.2.0 for mc1.0
Forge 1.2.4 for mc1.0

I've been doing some work with the original Cubic Chunks Mod and I just discovered a really bad bug in the final release of CC, v1.5.4 T7:
* Minecraft will Blackscreen at some point when creating a new world while that version of CC is installed.
However; it works fine, no, beautifully with any world generated before that. So, if you mod mc1.0 with that version of CC then use it with a vanilla or CC world created previously it opens and works just fine!
This is how the problem escaped detection.. Everyone testing it already had worlds made with CC or vanilla that they opened with that version of CC and didn't bother trying to make a new world at that point.. Damn..
** I will say this though: When I got it to work again, It was breathtaking how smooth it was when I dug down to below zero, how very perfect! I began to again feel what I felt back in those original days when I evangelized Cubic Chunks to the whole world!! God, this magic must happen again, it must..

1. The FTB launcher has not been confirmed to work for versions before 1.2.5, as this was when FTB was founded, the mod pack team is going to do tests.
2. The launcher's version numbers are limited to only numbers and periods, so instead of having '1.7.3 with forge' and '1.7.3 no forge' we'll have to have a boolean at the end instead, like '1.7.3.1' for with forge.
Hey, its (almost) always better to be late to show support than to never show your support. Anyway, welcome to the "Support CC Family"!
also you should check out Tall Worlds
EDIT: Apparently they are already working on a launcher for 1.6+ anyway, so hopefully this will become possible soon!
None yet.

Curse Premiumnone yet ...... not to sound impatient or anything but hasn't this mod been "in development" for a while now
and there is an video of the early alpha, so my question would be why is there no dev updates or anything to keep us from believing the mod author has given up or died
The person updating the mod is not the one who first made the mod, so there are a few "legal" issues, and going from Alpha 1.0 to Release 1.7 is a HUGE leap. The amount of reprograming that needs to be done for a regular update is large, and this is a lot bigger than a regular update. As for the "lack" of dev updates, well this isn't Mojang. We're just people who have other things to do, and a few of whom are working to bring you a free mod that will radially change the way you play minecraft. Even so, arronfrank HAS been providing us with updates as he works.
1) The FTB launcher to support the 1.6 version system
2) Risugami to answer my premission request for ModLoader
3) Robinton to send me a PM regarding permission for Cubic Chunks itself
If 2&3 end up getting completed before 1, we may end up using a different modpack launcher, like
technicor something.I have no idea what versions it supports.EDIT: I went over to the technic forums, they too also only support 1.2 and no further back. No technic.I should also note that I am currently having issues with the multiplayer version of CC, the server crashes on start after I add CC to it, works fine with just MLMP and/or Forge. The client working fine with ML, MLMP, Forge, and CC installed.
