It should be, this mod as far as I know will only modify chunks, and will not change world generation.

Curse PremiumYes, this does change the amount of loaded chunks, BUT the chunks are 16x smaller and you can optimize loading and efficiency of these small segments. The efficiency of this system more than doubles my performance in MC. Unless your farms extend from bedrock to height limit and take up the entire chunk, then you're wrong, this would allow more farm area to be loaded due to the ability to selectively load chunks.
Spawn chunks could and would continue to exist, actually no changes would be required to the spawn chunks code I believe, because it measures chunk distance from spawn. This would lag MUCH LESS than the current system, and yes the system CAN change that, if you've fooled around with the Multiverse bukkit plugin, you'd know that you can disable spawn chunk loading in any world you wish, and not process the world when no chunks are loaded in it.
The mod currently has a broken-looking terrain generator because Barteks2x had to disable some things in the meantime because their generation was based off of chunks and does not work properly with CC until we change the code. If you've watched my video, you'll see what it looks like. There is also another generator which attempts to generate biomes, but only generates the 'biomes', so only things like grass color change.
Funny you should say that.

Curse PremiumBecause everyone has all the versions of Minecraft. You just need to change your user profile or make a new one in the launcher.

Regarding HexaHedra; Please just stop.. Nocte already made it clear that it should compile fine for macs too but he doesn't have a mac to compile it on. And it already works fine on Linux without having anything to do with macs, just follow his directions.
If Apple weren't such a pain regarding things having to be finalized on mac hardware you would have a version for the mac already.. It's actually Apples fault, think about that.

I wanted infinite height FOREVER.
1000%
SUPPORT.
That or, maybe worse, "Lets add this randomly generating mob that is really rare and has nothing to do with the purpose off this mod (an in game nbt editor) but will kill any player easily and is better than ender dragon and will totally prohibit a player to get past their first iron before their world is destroyed unless they are super lucky and get super enchanted diamond stuffs and beat this dude and he drops this sword that does one half-heart more damage than diamond except it only has one use and has a ten percent chance of not doing damage to the mob and has a fifty percent chance to kill you and requires ten diamonds to use and using it also summons three more of these bosses and has a thirty percent chance of deleting your world.
It was always the "Super-easy-to-obtain-stronger-than-diamond-that-gets-"balanced"-by-giving-it-slightly-less-than-diamond-durability" problem for me, but in general, yes.
I think someone is bitter...
As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;
And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!

Curse PremiumWhat do you mean by "finalized"?
I took a quick look, and saw a .exe, not a .jar -- that implies that this is a non-java, normal compiled program -- which means that for just about any system, you have to compile on that system. That's not Apple's fault, that's normal computer programming.
If anything, it seems to be hard for compiler writers to separate assumptions about the machine doing the compiling from machines that will be running the program, so it's more the fault of the compiler writer.
Yes, people try to avoid what Microsoft wants to pass off as an operating system. "Bootcamp" is the worst possible system -- take everything that makes the mac great, and disable it. Dual booting does not work (ok, technically, it "works" in that it can be done -- but you are basically shutting down everything else to use one program, turning your multi-user, multi-tasking system into a single user, single program system. Etc. Lots of problems.) Virtual machines ... sort-of work, but usually have bad graphical performance unless you pay a lot. And in either case, trying to learn a new OS, and get it configured right (why oh why does microsoft have such poor defaults?), takes too much time, and trying to secure microsoft windows ...
I have been burned by microsoft's OS too much. I will not go back.

(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
You must compile Android source on your cellphone then.
Anyway, that's all irrelevant to the topic of this thread and even to HexaHedra, as it is open source and someone with a Mac could compile it and offer up a DL if they were so inclined.
So, how about them Cubic style Chunks?

BA
So, when are we gonna get featured on the MCF news? This will probably boost our support by a lot, and they are not really gonna have much of a choice once this becomes the #1 topic. They're showing off just little fun things and the staff's thoughts on loaded questions instead of the big things like Cubic Chunks. Come ON, staff!
