Let us stay on topic. This talk of rocket ships or other suggestions does not really belong here, unless it is simply there to acknowlage the possibility of them.

Zeppelin Mod had real elevators, if that could be gotten going again. But yeah, it's always fun to push piston tech to the limits.

I always liked infinite height. And for infinite world there should be spherical world, with minor angle "rotating" including gravity rotation. Meant if you travel days in real life towards only 1 direction, you will find your house and pen with your stuff once again. With everything the same. I like spherical world.

For infinite depth you may dig to very hot lava after halfday of digging, and in creative(you survive) you may tunnel to another side of the land. No you will fail because there is "Mass block" - immutable bedrock but gravity is all around it and it damages very much.

Also for cubic chunks i like underground lakes, also new biomes such as "stratosphere", "termosphere" or space.
That would be epic.
Plus chunks should load only what you see, further decreasing lag,

This is absolutely amazing... I would LOVE to see this in vanilla minecraft. The efficiency is just mind blowing compared to the current system, and the ability to have practically real-world scale terrain such as mountains and ravines, I can't tell you how happy I would be xD

Isn't the whole point of this to be vertically infinite? No offence but I hate all those ideas. Are people really going to dig down for 15,000,000 blocks to magma? Will people hold down the W key for days to get to 30,000,000 blocks? I don't think so. You would never even get there without cheats, so it would just be a waste of time adding it. And please, for the love of avatars that aren't dogs, don't suggest space.

LOL. Robinton eventually placed a magma ocean near the bottom of the map at around 30km I think, and we were looking into adding an ability for gravity to get weaker the higher up you went until you hit space, there would have been at least 2 to 4 km of space at the top end of that -32km to +32km range. The main point though, eventually, would have been to make all such details user configurable per world. So if you didn't want lava at the bottom, no problem. No space? No problem.

What would have happened with the next version of Cubic Chunks once it went to 4.2 million KM? (-2.1 to +2.1 mil KM) More user options to set it up the way you want. There was a lot of evolving going on, and it was built on ideas like 3D Biomes/Domains, Space, etc.

I hope to one day see that evolution/revolution start up again.

btw: One of the Cubic Chunks fans did in fact dig all the way down to the magma for the fun of it. "Only" 30 thousand blocks, but still. Besides, the Futurecraft integration with Cubic Chunks will involve cubic planets of definite size which will have cores... and space.

Is there a reason to dig about 30k blocks to get to lava that you can easily get in the nether? I don't think so. And walking for ages just seems boring to me. But, as long as Mojang don't waste time when they could be adding better things, I don't care if it doesn't affect me. But I really hate having space and planets. I'm pretty sure the minecraft world is supposed to be flat.

But I wouldn't care if this was in a mod.

You missunderstand: None of the things you mentioned need to be in the game for this suggestion to be relevant. This suggestion has quite a few things going for it which even you would support. Less lag, for example.

I don't misunderstand, I was replying to MineCrak. I support the actual infinite height and depth and the rest of the things in the OP, but not planets and space and changing gravity and looping worlds.

And he and everyone else was saying that you are one Minecraft user. Mojang must be concerned with what 20 million+ users want. Not you or any other one person has the right to decide what should be in the game. If 1,999,999 people want planets and rocket ships, space, changing gravity, looping worlds, and the rest, well, it sucks for that one person, but it is logical as a business decision for Mojang to implement those features.

Oh, ok. Seems I missunderstood. But could you please quote next time, even if you snip out the text, because it seemed like you were saying you wouldn't mind CC itself to be in a mod, and thought that the other things were inherent to it. Now I see it is not the case, of course.

I wasn't saying that. I don't mind anyone expressing their opinion, as long as they stay polite and do not repeat what others have said (too much). And we do not know of the amount of support the others things had, so we needn't discuss them further here. But thank you for defending me, even if you missunderstood my intentions.

I know. That's just my opinion. If 20,000,000 people want rockets and space, Mojang would add space.
Which is why we need to get a few million supporters for cubic chunks so they will add it.

I whole heartedly agree. I just seemed a little bit close to erupting into a flame war, and I wished to prevent it. Obviously, I was mistaken, and it was unnecessary.
