I'm new to the forums... So... Hi.
My suggestion is a redstone piece that would work similar to our current redstone repeater.
It would have multiple redstone bulbs or torches, and every time a red stone current passed through , it would light up one bulb. After all the bulbs are lit, the current will pass through once, and the process would begin again.
So a looped system could have a second system that ran only after a set number of circuits had passed.

Seems like a useful redstone component. Sure why not?
Oh! A counter! Well, they already exist. How about you have to place down more than just 1. So if you want it to count 5 times, you need to place 5. I support.
Huh? They do? I am not very updated...
