I do not kow if anyone has posted this type of a thingyjig before (probably) but here goes...
I was wondering if it would be reasonable to create biomes that have a floating island theme. Not touching the sky and bottom limits, but to have bodies of land floating in midair. There could be some kind of chunk missing out of the ground that is the size of the landmass in the air, so it looks like it has been ripped from the ground, or the ground level could be some sort of large ravine, or area with giant pillars that you would have to hop on to get to the other side, like we see in those movies(windswept scene with giant rock pillars surrounded by sand or something).
This is just an idea, i can think of drawbacks such as an increase in deceleration trauma(falling to death) ect. But what do you guys think? positives? negatives? thanks for reading

I don't allways play minecraft, but when i do... I pull three all nighters then realize that the redstone project I'm trying to make has 50 tutorials taking less than a minute to make on youtube. I never watch them #yolo ~admin on a certain server
Biomes load in vertical chunks. They go up for infinity, so you couldn't have a biome above other biomes.
We could have a floating island sub-biome, sort of like Desert Hills, but more like... Desert Sky Islands or something, which would be a desert with floaty islands above.

Okay, I guess, but I see potential for trolling. Someone could go on the island and spam arrows/lava/water/TNT/sand/gravel/anvils.

Because you can't spam arrows, lava, water, TNT, sand, gravel, and/or anvils from a floating base.
I never said you couldn't.
What about all the other ones mentioned?
