This is a suggestion, yes, but, I saw a different one which was more a discussion of redstone blocks and I asked that to move to the forum where it belongs.

Okay, but all suggestions, even if they use items only available in Snapshots, go in Suggestions. Any and all suggestions for the Minecraft Website or the Minecraft game go here. A thread discussing an item that is only in Snapshots without suggesting something for it goes in Recent Updates/Snapshots.
As for the idea, love it. Is it affected by rain/snow? We could use a rain sensor.

Looks like a pretty good idea, but maybe redstone blocks could be switched on and off by something more sensible, like a redstone current or something.

Redstone current is out; they emit redstone power EVERYWHERE.
I support the OP.
um... I don't know, it seems it needs another step, redstone itself washes away in water, maybe have it so that you have to make a specific water detector to turn on/off, if you do this, there is no way to have underwater circuits without a conspicuous underwater tunnel.
possible support.

I dont even think it is possible to make underwater circuits with the current Redstone Block. It is always on. How is that the same as just putting a single Redstone Torch in the contraption itself?
Support, but also think redstone blocks should be turned off if a redstone current is fed to them (like what happens with torches), and you need to think of a cool idea for what happens with lava in relation to the block!
This is technically a suggestion so why not here?

I am already thinking of that. Though I am still thinking of how much it reduces the power.
Thanks for loving the idea.

That's called a Redstone torch.

The poll is even with the three choices. Ill wait for some time.
(We really need a sticky thread for these sorts of things.)
Turn off it is then...
P.S. the sticky thread is Commonly Suggested Ideas
