In Ascension Mode, you will ascend once you defeat Ender Dragon and enter the portal. World completely regenerate so everything is lost, except for items stored in Ender Chest. When the credits ends or get skipped, the screen fades to white and then later fades to gameplay, with you appearing at spawn as if world is generated.
Each time you ascend, your experience gain increase by 20% at the cost of mob becoming 20% stronger.
What are the advantages to ascend?
-Your base damage is increased by 20%.
Disadvantages?
-All changes to world are lost. Only the items in Ender Chests are retained. Even so, you can't access the items in Ender Chest until you craft one.
-Mobs become stronger.
Once you defeat the Ender Dragon after 5th ascension, you will not be able to ascend any further. You can gain up to a total of 5 Dragon Eggs. By bringing an Ender Chest into End after defeating the Ender Dragon, putting the Dragon Egg into Ender Chest and ascend.
The items that retain in Ender Chest are meant to encourage players to choose the valuable items to carry over into next ascension. It will discourage building large structures when in Ascension Mode.
It's not overpowered. You can't access the items in Ender Chest until you craft one so if you put diamond stuff in Ender Chest, you can't access them quickly. So it's like beginning all over again. But this time things get tougher.
Since mobs getting tougher, doing higher damage and larger health, you will need to find a way to increase maximum health, as armor become less effective.
Ascension Mode can be used altogether with Hardcore Mode where you can't respawn and world is deleted on death.
Mobs get slightly more power than you. They become 30% more powerful. You, however, become 20% more powerful. So that makes mobs 10% more powerful than you.
In return, you get more experience. You will have to enchant because armor will become less effective.
A very interesting concept, but I don't think this would be classified as a "mode", because this only takes place after the Enderdragon is defeated. Therefore, this might land better as a choice the player can take. There's also a lot of things cancelling each other out. Damage done is increased, but so is the mobs' damage. Armor is less effective but enchantments are easier to get. Mobs do more damage, but you have increased health.
The pros and cons aren't perfectly level with each other, but they're still close enough to almost register as no true game changes. Also, after enough "ascensions", the stats are gonna be very extreme, but at the same time, the pros and cons still kind of end up cancelling each other out.
I understand you were going for something to add more gameplay after the Enderdragon, but I don't think this is the best way.

This is not necessary as everyone suggested.
I don't think 10% is a good percentage of increases, should be more that 20% (or other amount depending on difficulties)
