Hey everyone. Here's another big thread for an XP/Enchantments update. I will divide everything in different sections.
Mystics Table
Just like the enchantment table, this table goes on a more advanced way of enchanting and levels. Instead of giving items/books enchantments, this table will enable fusing enchantments and let them go beyond a normally unobtainable level. The Mystics table also makes you able to craft bottles of enchanting, however in a balanced way.
GUI: The gui looks the following: (I know it is a bit bad quality... but it's something.)
There are 3 slots to put an item in: slot 1 and 2 are for the actual proces. The slot in the middle with a weird star shape is for a special item... a mystic's shard! There is also a long bar in the middle. This bar displays the time for the progress. Once the bar is full, the slot with an R will fill with the result item of the proces.
Another thing to note is that bookshelves can be used to decrease the process time, up to 15 active bookshelves. Each bookshelf will decrease 1%. Now in short processes this isn't much of a difference, but in long-time processes it may give quite an advantage.
Mystics - Crafting Bottles of Enchanting
The Mystics table allows you to create bottles of enchanting. The recipe, though, isn't cheap. To create a bottle, you need an awkward potion (bottle of water + nether wart) and a stack of rotten meat or bones (so no bonemeal) in any of the 2 numbered slots. A timer will go off on the top bar and once 30 seconds have passed, you created a bottle of enchanting (t1) which gives 50 xp if you throw it.
Bottles of Enchanting change
The bottles of enchanting will work in a different way than usual. Now, the xp a bottle gives depends on the player that throws them. This means that a player that has a fairly high level can give other players tons of levels with one bottle. The new bottle system will work with 5 tiers of enchantment bottles, with a fixed ammount of xp that it will give, and are all stackable.
Tier 1 - 50 xp
Tier 2 - 100 xp
Tier 3 - 150 xp
Tier 4 - 200 xp
Tier 5 - 250 xp
Mystics - Fusing Enchanted books/Bottles of Enchanting
The mystics table also makes you able to fuse books/bottles of enchanting with each other. The fusing rules are the same as stacking enchantments: enchantments must be equal to each other to go to the next tier. The same applies with bottles of enchanting. 2 t1 bottles are nessecary to create t2, and so on. This also makes you able to create unnatural enchantments.
Fusing books works slightly different. The following enchantments will be made only obtainable from fusing, and not by stacking it on a tool anymore:
- Protection V
- Fire Prot V
- Blast Prot V
- Projectile Prot V
- Sharpness/Smite/BOA V
- Power V
- Punch III
- KB III
- Looting/Fortune IV
- Efficiency V
- Respiration IV
- Feather Falling V
- Thorns III
Fusing books also takes much longer. The time is dependant on the rarity and the tier. This means that, for example, a Looting/Fortune III->IV fuse will take VERY long, much longer than a Protection I>II fuse.
More enchantments
I would like to suggest a new enchantment special for axes and for platebodies, and several new tiers of enchantments.
Cutting Edge - (Axe, max tier: 1) gives the user a very small chance to instantly cut a tree down (does only work on 1x1 sappling trees, so no 2x2 jungle trees.
Adamant - (Chestplate, max tier: 1) gives the user the ability to endure a killing blow (does work with players), making you hang in 'just' a bit longer. The higher your health is, the higher the chance of enduring it.
Recycling enchantments
Got an item that is worth keeping the enchantments, yet repairing is so expensive or just impossible? You can put an enchanted item in the Mystics table and a book in the other numbered slot. After a minute, one enchantment will be removed from the item. Things to note:
- The removed enchantment will be randomly chosen and put in the book.
- To remain balance, the removed enchantment will degrade one tier when they arrive in the book. This means that tier I enchantments will be destroyed. The usage of a Mystic's shard will remove this, however you still cannot chose which enchantment it will affect.
Mystic's shard
The Mystic's shard is a shard that is a very rare random drop. It can be obtained from anything you gain xp from: Killing, mining, smelting, cooking, breeding, etc. The mystic's shard helps on various things:
- It will 100% safely remove enchantments in Enchantment Recycling.
- It will decrease the fusing time by 50%
- It can be used as a brewing ingredient to instantly create 3 t5 enchantment potions.
Other required changes:
Anvil repair limit removal/raise
The anvil has a limit at level 40. But since the enchantment books update, this limit gets exceeded easily. So with this update, I would like to suggest that the limit gets heightened up to above 40.
@Enell, I still don't know (as I can't read minds) do you wish to support or not? I only heard something about the side-thing of the actual suggestion.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
You want to be a dragon? Well, then you need to have wings, a passion to hoard, and have a deadly breath.
Oh, and did I forgot to tell you dragons are extremely territorial? ROAWR >:)

Oh wait! There is!
If there is anything you would like to see changed/added, just say it. Key importance is that it becomes desired for everyone, not just me or you.
