Hmmm, have any of you looked at the Pumpkin pie recipe? Because that is what I used.
Pumpkin pie is: shapeless 1 Pumpkin + 1 Egg + 1 Sugar
Stackable to 64. Non-placeable.
Restores *8* Hunger Points.
Restores 4.8 Saturation.
Yes making a wheat farm is way easier than making a chicken farm. But chickens are not *that* rare. And a medium sized chicken farm will give you MANY more eggs than a medium sized wheat farm gives you wheat.
Apples are also way much work to get than pumpkins. Sure, it's easier to find your first apple than your first pumpkin, but after you find your first apple its stays at 1 and you have to cut a lot of more oak to get more apples, while your first pumpkin will very soon transform itself into an abundant source of pumpkins. When I go cut oak for say 5 minutes, I usually get only a few apples. When I go into my pumpkin farm, however, 5 minutes in there gets me well over a stack of pumpkins.
So I think the apple pie should be slightly better than the pumpkin pie.
I only made it restore 1 less hunger than the pumpkin pie, and restore 2.4 more saturation than the pumpkin pie, for an overall 1.4 better food.
My alternative is:
Apple Pie Version 2: Restore 7 Hunger, Restores 6 Saturation. This makes it only a tiny slightly bit better than the Pumpkin Pie (only 0.2 food points better, in fact).
It would add a nice variety, and I do love me an apple pie. One Sugar is enough, though (Pumpkin Pie uses one). Not sure I'd spend an apple considering Golden Apples - well, maybe if there was a Golden Apple Pie too.
It does no harm to have more simple food in the game, why not? Changing wheat for an egg sounds like a better idea to keep a constant on how pies are crafted.
Harmless enough... except the fact that it restores seven hunger points is way too much. In my opinion. Four points is the highest current amount a food item restores for the moment, and I don't really think there should be any higher than that.
well each of the little nuggets of food is really 2 food points so having 8 for example is 4 of the nuggets
it's the same system with heath 1 heart = 2 heart points (hp, hit points, etc)
OT: I would really like this :3
