This would be a feature for the following scenarios:
-Roleplay as different characters in the same World. - Let your friends/family members play in your SP World as a New Character from scratch in the same computer.
The concept is pretty straight forward and is kinda a shame that is not a feature already existing in vanilla Minecraft. What is does it let people create new characters in an already existing Single Player World with his own inventory, level, spawn point, skin, basically a different level.dat for every character created in that World.
How it can be implemented?
In the Single Player World Selection there's a sidebar showing the existing characters in the selected world giving an option to Create a new one or Delete an existing one.
Mockup:
I'm sorry if this have been suggested before but I think it may be a good implementations to a game where sharing your creations and using your imagination play a big role and it goes very well with vanilla minecraft and survival mode. Share what you think and if you may use a feature like this.
Well, I see no reason why. Role playing...with yourself as two people? Isn't that a bit...sad?
If you have two characters in a role play, have two people play (in fact, I would recommend trying out an RPG server so you can play with a lot more people). If you want to role play with yourself, well you can do that already.
Edit: Your Kiki avatar is adorable. I have to remember to watch that movie.

It was just an example of what you can do with it, is not much sad as using your imagination, maybe you want two houses in the same world but for different characters, that's the kind of roleplaying I'm talking about. Either way the main idea is been able to share the World in the same computer with other people.

Well, if the two people have different accounts, they can access the same world. I still don't see much of a point, but ok then...

If you do that is not really a different player, the game still read the same inventory, spawn point, last position, etc. So even if you log in a different account you're basically playing the same character. I don't know if you had try it before.
