The new minecraft update is ment to regard to redstone and I have been Thinking what if you could Have a block with redstone dust on and when it is moved with a piston the redstone dust stays on the block.
This would add a lot more possibilities to Adventure maps.
If you want one that is off when the Piston pushes, then (Sticky) Piston + Redstone Block + Air space in between + Redstone Dust + [insert solid block here] + Redstone Torch attached to it.
No, I think he means they should make it so Redstone Wires just don't fall off a moved block and move back and forth with the block. I've wanted something like that too, but the new Redstone Comparator: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Redstone_Comparator seems to fill the function this suggestion would provide. Set up right, the RS Comp. would act as an insulator until given an second signal which, then act like Wire. Alternatively, Wire could be run under where a piston would cut it off when extended. These can both be used for "Safety Switches", setting up coded doors, or as shut offs for revolving signals - everything this idea could be used for.
It's a good idea, and could be useful if extended to ALL place-on-block items like Ladders and Torches, but as long as it's just Redstone Dust/Wire, the game already has ways to set up everything this could be used for.
