I was thinking about how you are invulnerable inside your home, I don't like that. So I think it woud be grand if their was some kind of siege mobs that only appears on hard mode that could destroy player placed blocks. I know zombies could destroy doors on hard mode, but this is just a small set back for the player, one could easily make an iron door or other defense. I have a couple of different mobs idea that could make the game more challenging, tell me what you think.
Howler: (Appears after 20 minecraft days)
A giant wolf, this wolf is about three times the size of a regular wolf and much more frightening and fast. It would only be capable of destroying wooden walls or weaker ones like dirt. Once it get into a certain radius of the player it would make a terrrfying howl that summons 5 or so angry wolves to fight by it side. The health should be around 50 and deal ten damage per hit.
Droppings:
It should drop a tooth or something else that could summon the Howler to fight on your side, it minions would also be on your side. However it could only be used thrice and it have a duration of 60 minutes or 3 days.
Colossal: (Appears after 100 minecraft days)
A giant moving golden sculpture, this beast is 20 blocks tall and is made up of gold. It have a club made up of pure iron. With a single hit this beast could destroy up to a 2 by 8 line of blocks and it hitting angle is random. Any player blocks it walk on would be crushed under foot but due to it weight it is extremely slow. Its health would be 400 and deal a whopping 100 damage.
Droppings:
It would drop a little golden statue called Stephano, it could be placed as decoration or used to give you a set of invincable golden color armour that protects you five times better then diamond.
I like playing on hard mode but this would just wreck it for me. Having a nice thing built then a big gold golem comes and smashes it all down would just ruin the game entirely. I think that the mobs should be nerfed a bit so that aren't so over powering and instead of this being on just hardcore, it should be an option when you create the world...."Sieges On/Off". The difficulty would vary the health and damage of each "boss". I still don't really like the idea....so half support.
