When you create an iron golem it just wonders around like an Idiot, Mojang should make a way to lure your iron golem that you create, like a body guard!
How to Lure: When Created, right click on the golem and it'll follow you. If you right click it again it will Stay in Place.
Iron Golems are fine, but what I want to see is a way to allow them to patrol an area. No, this does not include options or a GUI to make them move in a set pattern. I'd like to see them follow rails.
Let's say you have built a castle:
It's very nice and all, but those walls:
There's nothing to guard them. Iron golems quote-unquote "guard" walls, but they wander off and act stupid.
The solution?
Have Iron Golems follow rails.
Now you place the rails on the inside of the wall, the Golems follow them, and they actually look like they're patrolling.
It would also be useful to use them to protect villages you live near better.
My logic was that rails don't spawn in villages, and the only downside is that you have to build a wall around any rail system. Furthermore, the monster-fighting AI would override this pathfinding.

Iron Golems not following you around wasn't an accident. These hulking golems do extremely high damage and have a lot of health, so one following you around like a "bodyguard" is just too overpowered. That would make wolves so useless, or even more so. No support.

I's Want to Kills you.

[quote=Badgerz]You have to keep in mind that people are stupid.

Great Idea
Though I think Neospector's idea is alright.
