It would have to be a rather new player to have an AI almost as good as them. AIs are not very good.

Actually, if the villagers were aggresive, i think they should have a way higher intelligence than for example the zombies.
For example, they should have the ability to place/remove blocks and use basicly any kind of weapon. I think they should act like players except. A bit more.. Stupid. Yes, stupid.
Yeah, like a very nooby player. Falls in lava a lot, mines with the wrong pick 50% of the time, etc.
