This is where we discuss my idea: The Amish portal! The portal is made in same shape of nether portal except with logs of any type, vertical faced up and down, an horizontal, of course, faced horizontal. When in that shape, transparent, walk-through leaves appear in the middle and then you may enter when in the leaves. I'd like to see what mobs, structures, etc. you guys come up with. I HAD a topic started where you post anything, but then they HAD to lock it, so I was pretty angry, especially on top of my Minecraft not working. Well anyways, Post your ideas on this!
... this is one of the few times I will ever do this on the forums...
-.-
Now that I've done that let me explain minecraft to you. Because you really don't seem to understand it.
Minecraft is a game where you live off the land in a primitive style akin to that of early man. You work the land into farm land to plant your crops, and you raise barns and pastures to hold your livestock. Then you go down into the earth and dig up large amounts of stone and metals and maybe some gems and dust so that you can continue. And then you run into monsters of a fantasy style and you fight for your life. Maybe slay a dragon when you feel a little bored.
My point is this:
We already live like the Amish. Giving us an Amish dimension would just be teleporting to a different part of the overworld. Which we can already to by walking, or by minecart, or saddled pig, or simply walking, or if your feeling really adventurous by ender pearl eye orb thingy (I don't know I've never used them before).

Humanity is the creation of Logic and Emotion, Calculation and Imagination, Cold Analysis and Blind Faith. This is why I believe it is a strange Human that would prize one while shunning the other. For a calculator can do math just as well as you, but a calculator can not use math to make the world a better place.
I don't understand, what is in this? It's very vague. What were you thinking about what goes in it?

I have discovered a truly remarkable proof of this, which this margin is too small to contain.

Really? An amish portal? I've heard of crazy portals; but this one beats them all.
Yeah.... We already live in quite a non-modern time period... Other than making it more modern with horses and fancier weapons/armour, and removing redstone stuff, then we basically already have it.
Well, to all I figured if I told everything about it you wouldn't be able to post, so I thought that if I posted all the info this would become pointless. In minecraft, we all live in a redstone world. Redstone=Minecraft's electricity, And yet we have minecraft players here. Exactly. The Amish portal wouldn't have any stone, just logs, leaves, and wood planks. And structures. And much more things like "wood ores". So this post is to have a reply, because I happen to correct some.

I've tried to comprehend this.... Sounds like there would be no dirt except basically at bedrock, and everything would be giant trees, with, say, ores with wood backgorund in trees?
