Anyway, I suggested something like this, except it was that wood blocks could become charred blocks sometimes through catching on fire, which would have a 1 in 6 chance of dropping 1-3 charcoal when breaking the block.
I do not know about wool, but I see how it would work. However, because of the way wood blocks are made, the odds for the drops should be different, like:
Jungle + Flint and steel burning down large trees from the bottom=Massive amounts of charcoal. Maybe the burnt wood suggestion if it was nerfed a bit, but not this one.

Curse PremiumWhen you burn a log, wood, bookshelf or wool with flint and steel, the block destroyed by fire will have 25% chance of dropping 1 Charcoal.
The chance can vary for different blocks.
Wood logs: 1/4 chance.
Wood planks: 1/8 chance.
Bookshelf: 3/8 chance.
Wool: 1/16 chance.
Fence: 1/8 chance.
Support or no support?

Adds a nice touch of realism.
Log- 1/4
Wood Block- 1/16
Bookshelf- 3/8
But, I still give Full Support!
