They are very rare. They're identified by shiny, metallic gold skin! They give off sparkles.
When they spawn, there is 1 in 200 chance that a Golden variant will spawn!
They're slightly harder to kill, has base armor points of 5 (20%) and twice the health. However, they drop 10x the experience and drop some gold ingots and triple drops! For mobs that is capable of wearing armor, the armor rating is hard capped at 88% to prevent from being unkillable. The amount of Gold Ingots dropped is the same amount as experience dropped from normal mob variant. Golden Villagers can even exist!
Golden hostile mobs does the same damage as normal mob variant.
Is it overpowered? No. The drops are great, but the golden mobs are very rare and harder to kill! Golden Spider Jockey would have to be the rarest mobs that can spawn. Since the Ender Dragon only spawns once, if you see Golden Ender Dragon, you would be lucky as you would get 120,000 experience and 400 Gold Ingots!
Think of the Golden Mobs as shiny pokemon! Golden mobs are meant to be easter eggs.
Seems nice but no support to the extreme rarity, extreme health, golden enderdragons and villagers and insane amount of gold ingots. So basically, nerf it all, making it more common and less extreme reward and then it's nice.

Increased the chance of spawning from 1/1000 to 1/200. Golden Mobs has triple drop instead of quadruple. They drop few gold ingots and 10 times as much experience as normal mob variant. Based on feedback.
Way OP, doesn't fit theme of minecraft much. No support.

example: golden preist sells enchantment sharpness 2 on diamond sword for 3 emeralds(I think the regular is around 5-ish correct me if I'm wrong)

Some players would love to tame golden ocelot or wolves.
If you have golden tamed wolf, it's like a super wolf. It has twice the health, at 20 hearts. Golden Cats have 10 hearts. Golden Cats have 50% larger creeper repulsion range. Golden Wolf does 1/2 heart more damage than regular wolf.
Golden Mobs also can breed. I understand how overpowered it can get if you have 2 golden mobs that can breed baby golden mobs. In return, golden mobs take much longer to breed. Baby golden mobs take a long time to grow up.

Maybe...except for the enderdragon. think about it. Normal mobs spawn all the time, so
in every world, it's possible to find at least 1 golden mob. Even a golden wither would
be possible to find in every world. So there's a 100% chance that ever world will produce
at least 1 golden mob of any sort. The enderdragon, however, spawns once and once only.
Out of 200 worlds generated, only 1 would have a golden enderdragon. IN other words,
every world would have a 0.5% chance of having a golden ender dragon in it at any time.
I kinda like the idea. Gives more reasons to mob hunt. Also, it is always nice to know you've found something rare. Plus, people are always complaining about how things aren't hard enough in Minecraft. Adding these would add a bit more difficulty to the game. Of course, it needs some adjusting.
The ability for them to breed these rare mobs is a no-no. THAT would make them overpowered, regardless of how long it takes them to grow up. There should be no 'Sparkly' main bosses, like the Wither or End Dragon. Also, maybe they should be extremely rare mini bosses. When one spawns, the sky will gain many large 'stars', regardless of it being day or night. They would have much better speed, attack, and defense than their regular counterpart.
If they're supposed to be like shiny pokemon, remove the extra drops and make them rarer. The point with the shiny pokemon is that it's like, a once-in-a-lifetime thing to find a natural shiny.

Golden Chickens lay eggs 20% faster.
