I Always wanted a High Mountain Place to build on , But Minecraft's Default Generation Just Sucks .
The Random High-Low Mountains or "Hills" (Cause they look more like a hill then a mountain)
Oh, Maybe another thing was a flat mountain? ( Same thing but with a flat top), think of it as a plain's biome but ontop of a mountain and instead of
grass, Use Snow!, i tried making this Snowy mountain with a "Flat-ish" Top so i could build this kind of Asian Style Village
But it looked terrible and i decided just to delete the world >.<
Is that pikes peak in Colorado? I live here too! I can see it right now
Anyhow, I imagine, during world generation, a chunk could be considered the origin of the mountain. Then, a fixed number of chunks around that would be identified as the mountain as well. Then, as previously suggested, every block above a certain height would be a snow block (w/ or w/o 'snow' on top), unless a certain amount of snow is above it, then the difference would be made stone.
why yes, yes it is
anyway, it could be like how villages generate, stretched across a couple chunks
why not make there be specific types of mountains in specific biomes, like buttes in deserts?
for those of you who do not know what a butte is....
