Ok. This thread isn't about adding a new mob or item or gameplay function. This thread is about how to improve Minecraft to a more detailed level. Alot of Minecraft's ideas seem interesting but handled in a static way. How mobs don't seem to have any expression except for walking and the witch's nose twitching. Movement does not seem as fluid compared to games using Valve's source engine for example, an example is with MC's teleportation system, it deletes a player from xyz co-ordinate and moves then to another xyz co-ordinate in a non fluid way, without some sort of teleportation animation. Physics is handled in a bad way too.
In the game right now, there is no way to put blocks together in a physics way eg. A piston pushes a block which is attached to one right to the left of it. The piston only pushes the block in front of it, despite there being a block stuck on to it by the side. Apart from sand, gravel and TNT there is no physics. In an explosion for exampled, blocks are outright destroyed instead of a more realistic view of blocks being sent upward which is like sand and gravel and primed TNT which turn into entities in that situation. Now I'm not saying every block should fall down like sand and gravel but they should revert into entities in other ways eg. punching a tree. Going in with my ''joined'' suggestion, once punched the blocks on the tree would turn into entities and shake for example.
Thank you for reading this suggestion and I'm aware this idea has flaws in it.
Well, remember that Minecraft isn't a complete game yet. One of the main reasons why the game is currently so buggy is because Mojang is working on completely rewriting the game code, engine code, everything. These things take time, but after the changes are made, Mojang will be able to work more reliably on physics and other engine reliant objects.

Free + Crabs + Ability to trample/suffocate opponents in Cortex Command = Free Bombs.
I didn't mean in the same way sand/gravel gravity is implemented.
EDIT: Thank you for informing me Rexo12.
I was also going to talk about the lighting engine but seeing as they've made a pretty far advancement into that I'd figure I'm content with that.
Still it'd be pretty cool if a Creeper poked it's tongue out when near or made a different facial expression of anger or something. But that's more of a texture advancement.

Are you honestly comparing Minecraft to the Source Engine? Just... no. No, no, no.
Physics is handled in a bad way too. It's Minecraft. We got players with excellent PC's getting hard lag in this game over some distant physics blocks, chunk updates and light updates. Adding any super accurate physics is gonna give people some horrible performance.
Apart from sand, gravel and TNT there is no physics. In an explosion for exampled, blocks are outright destroyed instead of a more realistic view of blocks being sent upward which is like sand and gravel and primed TNT which turn into entities in that situation. This would require some serious unnecessary recoding of many blocks, so they would fly upwards and still land within the game's fixed grid system. It's not worth it.
once punched the blocks on the tree would turn into entities and shake for example.
Thank you for reading this suggestion and I'm aware this idea has flaws in it. Or all of it. Minecraft works pretty well as is and isn't meant for these realistic physics and such. It doesn't have to be held to standards with most other (much different) games out there.
I don't actually know Java coding at all, but I can understand the computer failures, and that many things would need to be redone and a lot of entities would need to be coded in.
