It would be cool to have variants of Hardcore modes.
Peacefulcore is the Peaceful version of Hardcore. It's identical to Peaceful mode, except that it's locked in Peaceful. This means no hostile mobs will spawn unless modded.
Easycore is the Easy version.
Normalcore is the Normal version.
The 3 modes above still limit you to 1 life. On death, you can't respawn, just like in Hardcore Mode. You have to delete world.
It's really senseless to have this for normal, easy and peaceful then slap "core" on the end of it. You could just refrain from changing the difficulty in those cases. With Hardcore, it makes a lot more sense, because by itself, it's practically a new difficulty that's harder than hard because there's no do-overs. One death and it's all gone, and there's no escape by changing the difficulty therefore giving Hardcore Mode even more power than just average hard mode.
An inescapable hard mode is a very different story than an inescapable easy mode.

This. The point of Hardcore is that it is the hardest difficulty and you only get one life. It's engineered to be a challenge. If players want that in any other difficulty they can just not change the difficulty and delete the world when they die.
