Maybe this is an easy Mod to do or it already exists. If so maybe someone can help me out.
I was enjoying my favorite texture pack John Smith. I was thinking while i was in the nether it would be great if the Nether can use a separate texture pack than the Overworld's.
I was hoping to use John Smith for the Overworld and use Derivation v5.1 for the Nether. Because I think Derivation looks great in the nether.
The glow stone for having two different textures would make more sense. For example when using the John Smith texture pack... it would make more sense to only have it for the Overworld because of the way that when using John Smith in the nether it doesn't look like the glow stone grows naturally. However once you bring it to the Overworld it seems to look great as a lamp or something.
Maybe someone can either make this mod or teach me how i can make this myself if it isn't too difficult. Either way thanks in advance.
I would only support this if I could add a texture pack to the nether that allows everything to look like the overworld, except make the lava look like water. For some reason I think that would be fun to look at. For about thirty seconds and then I would get bored of it.

Humanity is the creation of Logic and Emotion, Calculation and Imagination, Cold Analysis and Blind Faith. This is why I believe it is a strange Human that would prize one while shunning the other. For a calculator can do math just as well as you, but a calculator can not use math to make the world a better place.
With the new texture system coming, you wont need it.
Every block gets his own .png, so just replace the one you want.
But that doesn't really help does it?
What I mean't was you go to the nether a whole new set of textures are loaded.
For example you wanted trees to look mutated or something just so it looks like a tree that would grow in the nether.
Then you come back to the normal world and tries look fine. You can't do that by just changing the 1 texture pack your using.

That sounds promising. Thanks sillyHippo
