Hey all just a thought I had in my mind. To me the over world is hardly dangerous and slaying mobs is like walking to a grinder ready for harvest without a fuss. So I thought of a mob that could put some serious pressure on the player if there caught up with a few other mobs.
I present to you the "Sprinter" (I don't know how to make a texture for a new mob so if you can make one that suits this and looks good would be appreciated greatly)
Attack Strength:
Easy 4 Health (2 hearts)
Medium 6 Health (3 hearts)
Hard 8 Health (4 hearts)
Health:
20 Health (10 Hearts, with 4 armour points of protection)
Abilities:
Will always spawn with a stone sword, and has speed I boost perm.
Spawning details:
Up to a group of 3 and spawns in any biome.
Drops:
Common drops:
Sugar 0-2
Uncommon drops:
Stone sword (1/30th chance of dropping)
Rare drops:
Carrot 0-1 (1/20th chance in dropping), Potion of Swiftness I (1/90th chance of dropping?)
Its like a zombie but a tad tankier and faster. The aim is to bring in some hardcore into the game no matter what difficulty and its purpose is to act like a fast running tank that gets the first hits on you while the other mobs close by creep up on you.
If theres anything you feel that something should be removed or added then please leave a reply and if I missed anything then let me know as well so I can add it.

There's your first mistake. I don't think players would want something "hardcore" when playing on an easy difficulty. That's like if peaceful mode randomly allowed Creepers to spawn but no other hostile mob. That ruins the purpose of the difficulty.
The idea isn't horrible, but it sounds very dry and not too creative, if this is just a "zombie but a tad tankier and faster". It also sounds like this thing could easily overwhelm you due to its speed.
I don't know, it seems to be kind of just a faster zombie. I'd want it to be a little bit more unique than just a running zombie.
Also, your signature appears to be broken. It's a flub with the code tag I think, because IPB is not the best forum software. You should be able to fix it by visiting the link below and putting the fixed BBCode in your signature. Just hit the little light switch icon before doing it so it goes into plain text mode:

@0_Zippy its supposed to overwhelm you in a way but possible to kill.
@Badprenup I don't know what could make it unique I have a terrible creative mind and don't like coming up with new mobs much because I generally think of over powered abilities for them lol which would suit hardcore. And thanks for helping me with my sig new to these things and don't know much bout them.
Could change it to being a more of an uncommon mob like the enderman where you see very few of them. The attack strength in my view doesn't seem to OP 2 hearts on easy isn't that bad skeletons do around that much when your not wearing armour.

You just unintentionally proved my point. Again, a mob that can overwhelm you easily on easy difficulty is bad. Saying things like "it's supposed to overwhelm you" doesn't strengthen or prove anything, because the problem/imbalance is still there.
