The villages that Jeb has implented are defenseless.Seriously,i mean like you live in a big village.
You always trade with the villagers, after that, tons of villagers=dead.
I mean like,Jeb,at least put some guards or something.
And maybe the village could have a wolf tamer.
That way he sends wolfs to help the guards protect the village.
And by that point the village might be overpowered.
So,just make zombies, skeletons, creepers and spiders have targets.
I mean, they all walk randomly anywhere until they detect you or you attacked them.
So now, comment below and add some other suggestions you might want.
Bye and thank you for your time,

EDIT:
The wolf tamer and guards will spawn in certain villages with no iron golems and have a spawn rate of
25%-50%.
Iron golems don't work out so well, so this would be good. The houses with stair roofs sometimes spawn partially underground, and zombies get in without being stopped by iron golems.
I'm not sure about wolf tamers, but I will agree that it would be nice if the average village didn't have about 0% survivability without help from the player. Even the ones that get golems are pretty much doomed, due to size. Which, you know, seems fine, balance-wise, since it means you have to put some work into defending them if you want to do a lot of trading. Then you realize they can be loaded due to proximity long before you find them, leading to more than a few instances of, "Hey, a village! ...oh, all the doors are broken and it's empty. Dang." - especially on servers, from what I've observed.
I agree that there should be some better form of protection for villagers. I don't play a lot of minecraft, but in all my time I've never seen a iron golem. What I HAVE seen, is small villages getting obliterated in a single night, even with my help. Villages aren't common, and large ones even less so, and while I'm not sure about wolf tamers, I think testificuts need a little extra help.
Defenses should be built by the player. Minecraft is easy enough, at least there's the contingent challenge of protecting a village from a siege. Why does everything have to be done for the player? Minecraft is a game about overcoming challenges creatively, not having everything built for you.

Survival Islands Challenge: Four islands and a vast ocean... can YOU survive?
OT: Except the one iron golem that is assigned to protect the whole friggin' village they're pretty much defenseless. I would like to see some kind of archer villager that has leather armor and obviously shoots arrows. Would buy arrows, bread and sell mob drops.

The point of villages on hard mode is that you, the player is supposed to protect them, which is part of the challenge. They, the villagers are not supposed to protect you.
Iron golems perform small defensive work: for larger villages they can easy kill any mobs they come across in a few hits, but you're still expected to protect the villages yourself. For smaller villages, this is easier to do, so iron golems don't spawn.
Furthermore, zombies only break down doors completely on hard mode. On normal mode, they'll bang and make noise, but wont do anything until they die with the sun. The villagers I live next to have never died. Disappeared when I accidentally downgraded, unfortunately, but never actually died, because I play normal. If you don't want the challenge of protecting villages (I personally don't), then hard mode is not for you. If you still are absolutely unable to defend the village in question but still want hard mode, build away from the village so zombies wont spawn, problem solved.
Overall, no. The village is not supposed to provide the protection, you are.

I don't have the same belief. The reason iron golems were made so that zombies would be killed or at least thrown away before being able to destroy the doors. I mean if the player is supposed to protect them then I don't see why they added iron golems. But with it's AI right now there's a chance it won't function the way it's supposed to.
I don't support, I think the iron golems should do with quite a bit of improvement first. They are quite buggy.
I was origionaly going to support this topic, but some people had some interesting points. If you want your village protected, play on normal or easy until you build your own defences. If you don't want to protect your villages, don't play on hard. My villagers never die, as I play on normal. No support.

I appreaciate that.
