The most annoying part of anything is the storage. Who hasn't filled a dozen chests with seeds, or their inventory with potatoes? Here is a simple solution for this.
First you must craft a sack like this:
Then you place the sack.
Finally you right-click on it and fill it with whatever item you please.

A sack is a place to store items. It can store as much as a double chest, but it only takes up half the space. It is place able. You have to place it, You cannot put blocks in it, only items. You can only store 1 type of item per sack. Each sack will have a picture of what it is storing on the outside. An empty sack shows nothing. You can only carry empty sacks.
Constructive criticism is accepted. Hope you think it's suitable for vanilla!

At first I thought this would allow you to heavily increase your inventory space. It doesn't say anywhere you have to acutally place it, which might be the reason some people don't like it because they misunderstood it. I really like this idea but I think it should use a different recipe: Leather in a bucket/flower pot/bowl shape with one string ''inside'' this formation.

I thought where it said takes up half the space, would clarify it enough. Thanks for the tip.
I see you added my recipe to the OP. Sweet. I feel even harder now that it is needed because it will look nice in medieval builds and we simply need more ways of storage other than chests.

It seems OP if its double chest size because its a little sack. In my opinion a better idea would be if it adds about 3 slots but could be carried in your inventory if it had items in it I think that would be a much nicer idea. Also it should use wool instead of string it would make more sense and wool really needs a use.

The catch is it only holds one kind of item, and no blocks.

Otherwise, I love the idea. Tweak it a little bit and you have a winner!
You can't carry the items in the sack. You an only carry empty sacks.
i see the poll results are a bit tied. More criticism please.

Thanks for that idea too.
More critics needed.

Exactly how I feel.
What part seems OP?
Thank you!
Thank you too!
